The space

This contemporary home offers a private entrance and hallway leading to two large bedrooms with queen size beds and a private bath. The backyard features a deck with lush gardens and woods surrounding. West Bay is within view, and provides cooling breezes to keep you comfortable.

The setting seems "away from it all," yet it's less than 2 miles from Traverse City. Close by are both bays with beaches, multiple wineries (one within walking distance), downtown TC and the TART Trail system.

I am open to a guest for a single night during the week, but would prefer a minimum two night booking on the weekend.

Guest access

I am very flexible and often offer the use of the kitchen and living room. The washer and dryer are available if needed.

The neighborhood

It's so quiet and the bay moderates the temperature all year round.

Kathleen was a gracious host, who tended to our needs during our stay. Her home is located in a quiet neighborhood and the property has views of the bay. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again in the future.

Kathleen was a wonderful host. I wish all hosts were as responsive and flexible. I changed arrival times and Kathleen made adjustments without any issues. And I used her refrigerator to store a few breakfast items. The location was perfect for us. Close enough to old Traverse City (8 minutes) yet off the main peninsula road just enough to be very quiet. I enjoy jogging so I really liked jogging along peninsula road which parallels the lake for miles and miles. Wonderful views of the west bay. I will stay again when I visit the Traverse City area.

Kathleen User ProfileKathleen is a superhost.

I'm an active person, but am happy puttering around my house as well. I enjoy meeting new people, and feel that I'm relatively open minded. As a host, you'll find me engaging, but sensitive to the need for privacy. I'm an avid skate skier in the winter, and mountain biker the rest of the year. I'm happy to be a trail or tour guide to any who's interested. I've lived in Traverse City since I was a child and know a whole lot about what there is to do and see here. Looking forward to meeting you and helping you to have an enjoyable stay. My life motto is: Seek first to understand, and then to be understood.
