The studio is below our appartment, in a 17th century building, just near the « Collège des Bernardins », rue de Poissy.
The studio, at the 2nd floor ( no elevator) is 15m3, the bed (200X160) is on a mezzanine, there’s a small bathroom with shower and WC , a fully fitted kitchen with fridge, microwave and everything needed for ccoking and eating.
Fresh towels and sheets furnished.
WiFi connection available.
As we are living there, we’ll be glad to share with you the pleasure to live in this building : you go down the rue de Poissy, and , in, 3 mn, you’re on the banks of the river Seine, with a splendid view on the « chevet » (the rear side) of Notre-Dame. If you cross the river, you are on the « Ïle St Louis » and from there, « Le Marais » , la place des Vosges, la Bastille, or Châtelet and Hôtel de Ville.
Following the river, you’re 25 mn from le Louvre and the Tuileries.
If you prefer to stay on the left bank, you are in the quartier Latin, either you can climb the « Montagne Ste Geneviève » to the Panthéon, la rue Mouffetard, or go to St Michel, StGermain des Prés, le Luxembourg.
You’ll find everyrhing in the neighborood, from (lots of !) restaurants and cafés to market places, travel agencies, supermarkets, post office, banks, museums book shops, cinemas, even a zoo (Jardin des Plantes), an hospital, lots of buses stops, metro and RER stations, two major railway stations (Gare de Lyon, Gare d’Austerlitz) an easy connection to both Paris airports by public transports….
And that is only if you don’t want to walk more than 15 mn !
Despite the fact that rue de Poissy is a quiet street, the studio has sound proof windows, with good daylight coming in.
I've stayed there for six days, from 11 untill 17 February.
The hosts are very nice and helpfull. They helped me with my doubts every time I asked them.
The location is wonderfull, I could just walk to all the interesting points in Quartier Latin. And there was two Metro stations near (less than five and less than eight minutes by foot). The boulevard is great and full of small shops where I found all I need in matter of food.
The apartment is exactly like the photos, and it was clean, tidy and with all the tools to cook and take care of myself.
There was a set of instructions ready to help use the microwave oven, the cloth washing machine and the Wifi.
Not exactly a terrible problem, but since I'm not very dextrous, I faced some problem to leave the bathroom because its door is elevated above the floor level. But it was just me.
It was a privilege to be able stay at Bernard's lovely apartment. It is a cosy Parisienne apartment with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The bed was really comfortable so you can get a good sleep after an exhausting day. The apartment is pretty central, a 2 minute walk from Maubert–Mutualité Metro station. There are lots of good cafés and restaurants in the neighbourhood. If you want to eat at home, there are several Carrefour markets on the way home and a Franprix market just opposite of the apartment. Famous places like Notre Dame Cathedral, Pantheon, Café de Flore, Les Deux Magots are just a short walk away. We had no problem with the apartment whatsoever and Bernard was very helpful and kind. I highly recommend Bernard's apartment and will definitely stay there again!
Thanks a lot for staying at Bernards place. I know Paris and this part of Paris is perfect close to every monument in the city center.
The room is tiny, but for two person is perfect for staying there. Street is quiet and you can found lot of shop around. From the metro is this apartment 2 minutes by walk.
I can recommended to everybody.
Clear and fast communication and great location. Close to so many attractions and cafes, supermarket etc. Bathroom is tiny and sink had draining issues. It was loud outside and through to the neighbours apartment. The bed is awkward to get up to but this is mainly because I am pregnant so ma loft bed was not ideal. Otherwise we really enjoyed our stay here. Its equipped with maps and info when you arrive too.
Wonderful apartment. Had everything we needed including coffee! Bernard was great! The best part was it was close to a lovely part of town. Highly recommend!!!
We absolutely loved out time in Paris. The studio is small but very comfortable. It is very well located and we managed to visit a lot of places walking from there. The bathroom is very tiny and the shower is together with the toilet which makes everything very wet after showering, but it was a not a big problem for us.
Bernard was very helpful and nice to us in our arrival.
I would definitely stay there again next time I visit Paris.
My daughter and I had a lovely time in Paris over our Christmas break and having a warm, cozy spot to come home to added immensely to our experience. I loved the little kitchen, and the loft bed was quite comfortable. Also the proximity to Notre Dame and the metro stations made navigating Paris a pleasure. Merci beaucoup Bernard et Francine for allowing us the use of this space.
The apartment was perfect, small but with everything we needed and very clean. It was easy to find and close to metro and rer. Location was wonderful and we were able to walk to all we wanted to see. It was a great stay! Thank9
We stayed in Bernard's studio 2 nights in December. The studio and its location are great, perfect to visit this beautiful city (it's close to hundreds of restaurants, pubs, small shops in Latin Quarter or Marais). Bernard is an excellent guest too! We'll come back to Paris soon, I hope, and we are sure we will ask again Bernard for this place :)
