Highest rentable space in Jerome. Authentically restored to it's original 1898 condition. House had been buried in mud since 1953 until the compete resurrection in 2012. The John Riordan House has obtained the rating in the TOP 1% OF ALL AIRBNBS WORLDWIDE and the most 5 star reviews in Jerome. Enjoy the mile high weather and the 1200 square foot outside patios with fantastic 30 mile views of the entire Verde Valley. 95 steps down to the upper part of town.

The space
The house has been described as a living museum as most furniture and furnishings are authentic to the late 1890's era.

There have been three movies filmed at the house. The painstaking accuracy of the 1890's restored exterior and interior furnishings have provided an ideal setting for that period. The latest movie, shot in 2024 in the house, was just released in 2025 on Apple TV and Amazon Prime " Modern Folklore".

Even though it is authentically furnished to the late 1800's, it paradoxically offers a modern bath, wifi, microwave, 6 burner natural gas BBQ, electric cook plate, WOK and deep skillet. An electric car charging option with a NEMA 15-50 plug is adjacent to the 2 parking spots.

Guest access
The entire house and patios are all for the guests use. You will not be sharing the space with anyone else.

Other things to note
There are two tight parking spots directly to the house for guests use. Because of the steep terrain and gravel road, we do not allow motorcycles at the house.

It is important that when you leave, you continue out on Magnolia in the same direction you entered. Please do not turn around and try to go out they way you came in. By exiting properly, you will eventually drive out by the Haunted Hamburger.

The street is One Way. One large van has gotten stuck trying to exit the wrong direction.
