The space
Encantada Guest House is a delightful jungle gem that sits nestled against the Children's Eternal Rain Forest. It's private & remote setting is very unique and is one of the many things that sets it apart from any other rental in the area. It is a perfect choice for either a young family or for friends traveling together.
This cheerfully decorated home, sleeps up to 5 and features many upscale and unusual amenities such as: Private Pool and use of the shared hot tub spa, Lush tropical gardens bursting with color, Spectacular views of Lake Arenal & the Arenal Volcano, as well as Hand carved artisan furniture, comfy orthopedic queen beds, a gas BBQ and even a small pavilion that is used for Yoga. Massage & Facials are available on site in our Banana Cabana Spa.
Enjoy a cuddle by the seasonal Fire-Pit, curl up for a cozy nap in a double Hammock or take a wander down to a hidden stream through our protected rain forest habitat. The Jungle below the house is teeming with Birds, Monkeys, Toucans and wildlife galore.

It is an easy 3.5 hour Drive from either San Jose or Liberia, International Airports. We always recommend an SUV for driving in Costa Rica because the roads can be a little rough at times. But once you leave the pavement, get ready for an adventure! The road out to El Castillo can be a bit rough. as well..But fear not there is a "Pot of Gold" waiting at the end of the Pot Holes and we have recently made significant improvements to our little cow path of a road and it is now passable even in a Sedan.
Other things to note
1. We have several very sweet Jungle ambassadors, who live on the property. Beau, our rescue Pup, loves to interact with our guests, the cats...meh...not so much. Please always enjoy their company OUTSIDE of the House.
2. This is a NON Smoking Home. However; you may still enjoy smoking in the covered upper terrace. Please note..this is a strict policy and if the smell of smoke is detected within the house, or butts have been casually discarded..a portion of your security deposit may be forfeit to pay for extra cleaning.
3. It's a Jungle out there! So it is important to clean up any crumbs or spills immediately or bugs & ants may drop by for a visit.
4. Swim at Your Own Risk and always stay on paths and Trail to avoid Snake bites or accidents. and wear Bug Spray at dusk or dawn, and while hiking.
