House Rules

Number one house rule is to relax and enjoy!
Do not drink tap water- okay for taking showers or brushing teeth. We are on water catchment. We provide drinking water in bottles in kitchen. Since we are dependent on the rain for water, we ask guests to be mindful of water use. Also, electricity comes at a very high price so we also ask guests to be mindful of this too. We have a clothes line under house for hang drying clothes.
Prefer for furniture to not be moved as well as no large parties.

We spent four days at Delphine’s place and couldn’t be more pleased. The location was very peaceful and after the initial welcome and tour of the house by Guy, we were left in solitude to come down from city life. Guy’s welcome was warm and friendly, giving us several tips for things to see locally. Highlights of our days were feeding the geckos in the morning...and then several times during the day as having your fingers licked by a gecko is surprisingly calming and addictive! The bed on the screened lanai was really helpful as during our stay it was quite hot and humid (to us city dwellers) so being able to sleep outside without being chewed was just great. Very clean house, great view and lots of peace and quiet - exactly what we were looking for. Oh - and the evening pig views were hilarious!

Guy's place was absolutely phenomenal to stay at! He greeted us when we arrived and have us great information. We went kayaking with him and got to learn more about the region and his life. If there was the chance to stay longer, we would have loved to. I highly recommend this place and would be thrilled to return!

It is a wonderful place, quiet without any noise, with a very nice beach. I would go back one and a thousand times not only for the house but also for Guy, he is a lovely person who helps you with anything you need.

We loved the view from the wonderful terrace! It is how you imagine paradise. The Pebbles beach downhill is very pretty and just 2 minutes by car from the house. Guy brought us delicious fruits and nuts

It was a nice place to stay. The road & driveway are interestingly steep but kind of fun after the first encounter. It is a bit of a drive (15-20 min) to any services/restaurants but is a beautiful place. The boys enjoyed sleeping on the bed on the lanai. Guy was very welcoming and shared a lot of good information. Thank you for a beautiful place!

Guy was a great host who gave us a warm welcome, provided good advice and charmed our kids with geckos and macadamia nuts Since this property wasn't available for our first night, he allowed us to spend the night at the Lava Rock House, down by Pebble Beach, which should also be listed on Airbnb in a few weeks. We really appreciated this property for: * the comfort, peace and quiet * the cleanliness of the house * the ocean view and sunsets * spending time in the linai * the swimming gear * the flowering trees all over the place We really enjoyed our stay and wish we would have been able to stay longer.

We had an amazing time at this location - it felt like home. Guy was friendly, insightful, and extremely hospitable. We will definitely be returning back to this location. Thank you for sharing your home with us. The Hughes family - Nutley, NJ

I'm originally from Paris, France but grew up in Washington State where I learned to appreciate the beautiful outdoors. Now I live on the Big Island of Hawaii which is an amazing place to enjoy what nature has to offer. I love to hike, swim, cook, dance, yoga and just simply relax with a glass of rose wine in my hand and watch the sunsets!
