One 1/2 of a settled gay couple. I live here with my husband Steve, of 18 yrs and our assortment of dogs and one cat. We love our friends and we believe there's a lot of good in this world. Sharing our home is the one way we hope to never take what we have for granted. When we hear our guests exclaim how lovely Harpers Ferry is, we're reminded of our own first visit. 2008 to the current day, we've been doing animal rescue. Over 1200 dogs + a few cats, guinea pigs, a pig, some rats, a ton of birds & a slew of injured wild critters. We're slowing down the rescue part but will still from time to time be caring for abandoned animals. This means you may get to help feed a goat or baby possums. While we do our best at cleaning and caring for these animals, they are rescued and they have accidents, & you may smell them. we clean constantly, but If this isn't something you think you can't handle, please choose a hotel up the hill. You'll love your private porch and the two front porches offer a million dollar view of HF and the rivers. feel free to order from any of the several local restaurants and bring your meal and a bottle of wine back to the 3rd floor porch for a one of a kind dining experience. We're here to be your hosts, and can assist with most any requests. let us know how we can make your stay unforgettable. Come see Harpers Ferry and spend some time at Phagend (our joke on the Hobbit) we're the last house in town. See ya soon!
