This beautifully handcrafted home built in 1932, nestled among the Redwoods, is a true Treehouse retreat that offers a distinguished and uncommon getaway experience. Just minutes from Guerneville's unique shops, restaurants, cafes, and bars, as well as being a stone's throw from Johnson's Beach and Armstrong Woods, this charming and rustic home is perfect for couples, friends, and families.
My house in the Redwoods is surrounded by decks, offers commanding views of the Russian River Valley, and gets plenty of sun during the day. Thinking that this setting would be perfect for a barbeque with friends? I agree, which is why there is a fully-equipped gas-range grill and patio table with umbrella that seats four. Once the evening sun has set (or the morning sun has risen), the hot tub on the side of the house provides the perfect place to relax.
Inside, the main entrance opens into a spacious living room with high ceilings that feels like a loft, but with the warmth and charm of a tree house bungalow. A handcrafted wood spiral staircase just off the main living area, leads upstairs to the first loft-style master bedroom. Much like a cozy hammock, windows on one side open to overlook the living room, while the opposite side windows overlooks the tree tops. The second master bedroom located downstairs has a cable-ready television with its own doorway off the deck that leads up to the hot tub.
The kitchen comes fully equipped with an oven, electric stove, microwave, and all the utensils and cookware you could possibly need.
Another amazing stay at this beautiful place. Thanks for everything Gordon.
Beautiful house on top of a hill 2 minutes from downtown Guerneville. Gordon was a wonderful host, communication was easy and the house was exactly as described. We had a wonderful time, would recommend to anyone!
Gordon's treehouse is a beautiful and cozy place to spend a weekend out of the city. I loved the hot tub, great big living room, and magical string of lights outside. Gordon's nice and responds to emails quickly. Thanks, Gordon!
Gordon and his treehouse provided the perfect weekend getaway from the city with my girlfriend. As a host, Gordon's attention to detail, commitment to his guests, and communicative nature made the entire process seamless. It really helped to know my questions would be answered promptly so we could get back to enjoying our time in beautiful Guerneville!
The property itself was magnificent and charming too. Just as photo'd it made for a wonderful refuge after a long day of hiking amongst the nearby redwoods.
We had a great time and would not hesitate for a second to recommend Gordon and his treehouse to family and friends traveling that way -- thanks again!
Gordon's place is great! Plenty of room for several people and lots of nice deck space nestled in the redwoods. Also close to town and dog friendly is a huge plus. We had a few issues and Gordon was very responsive. All in all, a great host!
Such a great place to stay in Guerneville! A really lovely, clean, fun house with very comfortable beds. This was my first trip to the river during the winter season and it was awesome to sit by the fireplace and play games, cook meals, etc. I plan on returning for sure.
Enjoyed another restful weekend among the redwood trees. Gordon is so friendly and makes the entire process so easy. The place was clean and well prepared for our stay. We've already booked a return trip!!
My husband and I stayed here the to celebrate my birthday with our two dogs....Gordon left me a birthday card and a bottle of champagne! How nice was that????!! The cabin is in a lovely spot in Guerneville and is very neat, clean and pretty! We will be back! Thank you Gordon for our wonderful stay!
Gordon was a fantastic host. Very responsive and caring about our visit. He was quick to call or reply to an email when a question came up. His house is charming with great light and energy. He also had a holiday tree set up and decorated during our stay which was really nice. It was well provisioned. We couldn't figure our the DVD player or stereo, but that didn't stop our fun. The location is fantastic--peaceful and close to town. Indeed it does have a treehouse feel. The tight spiral staircases to some of the sleeping areas might not work for some, but were fine/fun for us. We would return in a heartbeat.
True to it's name, this place was the perfect spot for our friends weekend retreat. We enjoyed cooking in the well equipped kitchen, dining on the patio, cuddling up by the fireplace, soaking in the hot tub, and watching the sunset at nearby Russian Gulch. Gordon is a wonderful communicator too. Would love to come back!
