The posting is exactly as described and the location couldn't be better. Great access to transport and walking distance to many sites. Magdalena was very welcoming and helpful even though we were nearly two hours late arriving at nearly midnight due to our plane being delayed. Some nice added touches like home grown cherries and apricot jam were provided. The travel information Magdalena puts together is also extremely useful with all information that we used reliable.
Magdalena is a wonderful host - she welcomed me on arrival, after having had the kindness to arrange for a privately hired taxi to pick me up from the airport. She took time to highlight key spots to visit as well as engage in warm conversation, which was very generousof her.
The flat is delightful and even more beautiful in real than on pictures. The high ceilings and art deco features, as well as top class recent refurbishing surely contribute to this. It is also very practical, well arranged and fully air conditioned. The bedroom's french doors give onto an enclosed little terrace, and is very quiet, something very appreciated in such a central location, and the bed is very comfortable. Magdalena had also left home made preserves and olive oil for me to enjoy together with other available goodies. One cannot get better thanthis.
The location of the flat is incredible - 1 minute from the Acropolis station, 3 minutes from Plaka. Many restaurants and cafes are within 5-10 minutes reach, and open quite late at night. Magdalena's restaurant recommendations were also a hit!
I absolutely loved the place and had a wonderful stay. Thank you so much Magdalena for all your attention and for making my stay so special.
Magdalena made us feel very welcome. She showed us the apartment and spent quite a bit of time introducing us to the location which is stunning, so close to the Acropolis, it's fabulous museum, the Metro and dozens of restaurants and shops. The apartment exceeded our expectations and is beautifully, conservatively furnished. It is very well appointed and there were many unexpected and generous treats there for us.
The neighborhood was as described, very near and walkable to everything we needed in Athens, yet the apartment was on a quiet mostly residential street . The apartment itself was beautifully homey and well appointed. Our host was very welcoming and helpful prior to our arrival as well as greeting us there very warmly. She arranged things for us as well as provided a thorough guide to Athens that she had compiled. This was our first airbnb experience and it exceeded all expectations and hopes in every way. We will be traveling this way from now on!
Magda's place is all that we had hoped and more. It felt like home. We were able to walk to all of the major tourist attractions as well as many restaurants. We took advantage of Magda's recommendations and enjoyed some great authentic Greek food as well as a beautiful view of the Acropolis under light. The apartment is clean, spacious, quiet and nice and cool on a hot day. Magda was very quick to respond to my messages and it was great to have a taxi for our airport transfers.
This was a fantastic place! It was spacious, clean and a great location. Magda met us upon our arrival and gave us very helpful suggestions about what to do and see. Couldn't have been happier with our stay and we highly recommend!
Magda's apartment was beautifully appointed, located in a superb central location (yet quiet and peaceful day & night), and was wonderfully provisioned (even down to a bottle of beer). Although we didn't get to meet Magda (due to a later than scheduled arrival), she organised for pick up and drop off to the airport with a very nice driver and made herself available to answer any questions upon arrival and during our stay by local phone call. All her recommendations for both things to do and places to dine proved 'spot on'.
Thank you Magda for making our stay so enjoyable!

About the Host, Magdalena
I am Greek/Italian with two children spending lots of time between my two countries. I am a restaurant critic and therefore I like cooking, gardening, sailing around the islands and reading lots of books. Most of all I love hosting people, make them feel at home even if far away from their homes.
