My friend and I stayed at Suzette's apartment for a week during our Paris holiday and we absolutely loved it. Unfortunately Suzette was unable to meet us but her friend Nicole gave us the keys and her daughter gave us some information regarding Paris. There was also croissants, baguettes, cheese and wine waiting for us which was a lovely surprise after our very long flights. The apartment is very well situated - right near Corvisart station (line 6) and Place d'Italie station (line 5). These metro lines are very convenient and take you pretty much to any tourist attraction you would want to visit in Paris. The walk to any of these stations would be 3-5 minutes. Right across from Suzette's apartment is an amazing bakery which we visited daily. The Corvisart/Place d'Italie area is wonderful - there's a fresh food market there on tuesdays, fridays and sundays as well as a lot of cute cafes and restaurants. There is also a large shopping centre just down the road which includes a supermarket! There is also a laundromat not far from the apartment which was great when we needed to do laundry.
The actual apartment itself is small, cosy and very parisienne. In the kitchen there is a fridge, cutlery, stove, microwave and kettle for use. The bathroom was small but had everything you needed. Shampoo and toilet paper is stocked.
Suzette was always very efficient in replying to any questions we had prior to and during our stay. We got to meet Suzette as she came to pick up the keys from us before we left - she was very friendly and warm. I would happily stay here again next time I'm in Paris!
Suzette's apartment is a great bargain in a city where it's hard to find a good bargain. The shower head didn't work at all, so taking a bath was the only option. If you are a light sleeper I would steer clear because the street can be very loud at night, but it's a great location if you like bars and restaurants, and it is convenient to get anywhere you want because it is right next to two metro stations. It is in a great neighborhood full of wonderful places to eat, drink, and explore, and it is completely (and wonderfully) off the tourist circuit. Suzette left an assortment of tea and coffee as well as pantry staples which was much appreciated after a long day of travel. If you have an image of a small romantic Paris apartment, this is it. Thanks so much Suzette for having us!
The place is very nice and cozy. We loved that it was close to the metro and the bakery so we could get fresh croissants every morning. Suzette is a very nice lady, she gave us lots of information how to get to places, where to eat, she even told us about the Sunday market which we went and absolutely loved it. I guess the only thing is that the bed is not too comfortable but besides that we were very happy. We would go back to this place.
The studio is cosy and Suzette very welcoming with a bottle of red wine, baguette, cheese, butter, jam, orange juice and milk in the fridge. Bathroom good size with plenty hot water and various washing products. Ideal for one person, 2 at a pinch. Only downside, rather noisy - will need ear plugs to get a good night's sleep. Great location near shopping centre with supermarket and Metro.
Had the best time staying in Paris at Suzette's lovely place. Suzette could not have been a better host and felt welcomed with her warm hospitality. Will return and a big thank you Suzette.
I had such a wonderful stay. Suzette was a great host who made me feel so welcome. Not only did she provide clear directions to the apartment, she was very helpful in explaining the neighborhood and metro. The apt
was perfect and the location was great for the city. She made her self available if I had any questions as it was my first trip to Paris. She also went out of her way to provide a welcome basket of a baguette, croissants, jam, milk, juice, and cheese!! I definitely recommend staying here and I would book again.
