3 bed, 2 bath nestled on a 10 acre hilltop with stunning views of Yosemite granite or snowcapped peaks. Only a 45 mile drive to Yosemite entrance. Mariposa Ridge Retreat is a scenic getaway, only 1.5 miles from the quaint village of Mariposa, Close to Merced river for river rafting and hiking. Lots of wildlife in the County seat of the Gold Country. 6 person limit. Pets allowed on approval, please INQUIRE BEFORE BOOKING.

The space
Drive on paved/gravel roads all the way to Mariposa Ridge Retreat's oak studded pad/carport overlooking Mariposa below. Push button doors enter to a cozy clean fully equipped 3/2 home complete with 500 sf deck and hot tub, BBQ, and picnic table as well as some deck furniture overseeing 10 acres.

Guest access
Guests can explore the hilltop retreat for walks and bird watching. Please be aware of wilderness creatures, bugs(ticks) and stickers. Caution-It's always fire season! No FIRES allowed except in attended BBQ. Do not go past pump house or any fencing as that is neighbor's property. Do not park on cement at barn as this area is off limits for guests.

Other things to note
Mariposa Ridge Retreat is a short drive (38 miles) from the Arch rock entry to Yosemite National Park, the Grand Dame of our Park system. You'll wind upriver along the mighty Merced river just 10 miles from the house and then follow upstream as whitewater flows along the roadway direction on your way into the Park. Earlier mornings are best to go to Park and return a bit earlier because of possible traffic. Check out the rafting in area.

You can visit the oldest Courthouse west of the Mississippi and view original Gold mining claims. There are 2 museums dedicated to the historic preservation of gold mining in the town of Mariposa for you to explore along with quaint shops and world class dining in the many different restaurants.

We are a semi retired couple from a lifetime of entrepreneurship. We built MRR to GET AWAY! Find the comforts of home and scenic mountains & wildlife. Unplug and go for an adventure with your family & friends-hike in nature & breathe fresh air, visit, relax, BBQ, eat smores... LIVE ! Come on up...you will leave refreshed. (Please note we have a 3 night minimum stay, only 1 Small house broken dog with permission. Inquiry with us before booking).
