About This Listing
Welcome to "Podere le Murella" on the Tuscan hills near Pisa. Nestled in a lush garden full of roses and flowers ever-changing from season to season, a century-old country house, renovated with taste and love, awaits you.
In the land surrounding the house you will find over 200 olive trees, fruit trees, a vegetable garden - strictly organically, a grove of acacia trees, a lovely greenhouse, and a traditional chicken coop.
The estate boasts a range of solutions designed for the self-sufficiency of the farm, such as photovoltaic panels that produce electricity (and yet well hidden and located away from the main building), an heating system (radiators) fed with local wood and, finally, a recycle system that ensures rain water irrigation of the soil throughout the year.
This quiet and magical "little paradise" is the ideal place for a honeymoon or a romantic getaway: not far from historical cities of art such as Pisa, Lucca, Florence and Siena and only 30 km from the Tuscan coast. The house has a Wi-Fi connection.
Last week I spend 5 days at 'La dolce vita' and I felt in love within 1 minute. This is really the most romantic, authentic place I've ever been. The house is really beautiful and decorated with style and love. Because the weather was great, I spend most of the time outside. Olive trees, vigs, rozes, fruit, vegatables and some chicken. But above all, a starry sky as you have never seen. Luca is a great host, we felt most welcome. Palaia is a nice little cosy village, wih a great view at the mountains, great pizza for take away (to enjoy it in your garden), a great hotel where you can eat great and romantically. I really would recomend this place to everyone and I would love to go back tomorrow. We visited Volterra, San Gimignano, Siena and Firenze, but also the little (less known) ones and we adored the landscape. Wish you a great stay at La dolce vita!

Podere Le Murellla was exactly what we expected it to be and what we wanted it to be: beautiful, clean, quiet and complete: in other words, La Dolce Vita. Luca was a great host, asking regularly if everything was okay, and the welcome Prosecco was a very nice gesture. The only 'negative' point was the wooden beam in the sleeping room: if you're over five feet tall, you will definitely hiit your head once in a while... The garden is awesome!
What a gem! The house is idyllic! Beautifully interior-designed in a rustic style, and set in a wonderfully charming garden with spectacular views. Luca was a perfect host .... His chickens even provided us with eggs for
Breakfast! The location of the house is perfect for visiting Florence, Pisa, Sienna, and the beautiful
Tuscan countryside. Beats a hotel room any day!
Thank you Luca! We had a great time at Podere Le Murella "La dolce vita". The house is charming, clean, welcoming and picture perfect! We were welcomed by Luca and a local bottle of wine and his delicious olive oil. We sure enjoyed all of these! Palaia is located in the middle of the mountains, about 40 minutes South of Pisa. There are good restaurants in the area and a few vineyards. We suggest you contact the vineyards before heading their way, just to confirm they are open. Luca was a great host, helpful and friendly. He recommended a few restaurants and vineyards (thanks for the tip!).
Thank you so much Luca! We really enjoyed your beautiful house and appreciated all your help! Best to you! Cheers! Gene+Patty
