Neighborhood highlights

The neighborhood is mellow and Encinitas funky. It is quiet with lots of flowers, trees and even has some wildlife like raccoons (and sometimes skunks) coming around at night ... which adds to our charm. Our guests get to watch the many birds who visit to enjoy the garden - especially hummingbirds.

Where I went to school: George Washington U & UCLA
My work: SciBiz Servivces medical writing and Latte by the Sea gournet coffee kiosks
Hi I am a medical/technical writer and my hubby, John, has several gourmet coffee kiosks in North San Diego county. We have two small friendly dogs and two cats. My best hobby is gardening, spending time with friends & family and of course the pets. I do a little yoga and love to go watch the dolphins. I became introduced to the Airbnb family in 2012 by my son when he kidnapped me to help him set up and run a wonderful bed and breakfast in Singapore. I went for a three week trip and ended up staying a year. When I returned to Encinitas we decided to turn our little back yard cottage into a retreat for visitors. We have lived here for many years and love to let visitors in on the fun things to do around this special little town of Encinitas. It used to be the flower capital of the US but now is the yoga capital of the US - I think. Anyway, with our great weather, excellent close-by beach, beautiful gardens, lovely summer music, San Diego botanical garden just a mile away and so many great restaurants....you cannot go wrong. We love it here and so will you. It is peaceful, and beautiful in an Encinitas funky sort of way. Oh by the way, we serve excellent organic, fair-trade coffee every morning or if you are not a coffee drinker, you can pick your own peppermint or lemon verbena here for your tea - with fresh limes and lemons from our trees. We look forward to seeing you soon.
