Take a step back in time and enjoy old Nags Head charm at it's best in the perfect location!!! Lil' Surf Shack has undergone a complete and total renovation. It has all the modern amenities we require, plus the old school charm of 1950s Nags Head.

The space
Vintage Nags Head charm at it's best!! Located at MP 11 - just off the beach road. The cottage is across from the beach and close to the Nags Head Pier. It is within walking distance of some of the best restaurants in Nags Head. We've spent the last few years saving this cottage from demolition. We kept all the original character, and even added new character to make it even better. This is a small cottage, perfect for that beach getaway for two.

The cottage has a main living area, with a small sofa, chair, flat screen TV, cable TV, bluetooth soundbar and WiFi. There is a small kitchen equipped with everything you'll need to prepare meals. The bedroom has a queen bed and lots of storage space for your clothes (although, you don't need to bring much more than your bathing suit and flip flops). There is a bathroom with a newly tiled shower, and a bonus outdoor shower as well. There is a stack washer/dryer and off-street parking for one car. The best part about the cottage is the front porch!! It's easy to spend hours relaxing and enjoying the breeze and the sound of the waves.

Lil' Surf Shack is the smaller cottage in a Cottage Court. The Surf Shack is the main cottage in the front of the property. Check out The Surf Shack, listed on VRBO (440039).

Guest access
You will have access to the whole house. We have locked off several cubbies for our personal belongings.

Please note that we do not provide sheets or towels, plan to bring your own. We do have a linen service that will provide them for $50

This cottage court consists of two cottages. The front one, Surf Shack, sits on the Beach Road directly across from the Bainbridge beach access. Lil' Surf Shack sits behind the main cottage and faces Bainbridge. It is less than 200 steps to the sand.

My husband and I are obsessed with renovating old, unloved homes. Some people appreciate new architecture, roofs that don't leak and floors that don't creak. That is not us! We moved from DC to The Fan in Richmond, VA because we fell in love with the architecture and its vibe (oh ya, and to get away from the traffic too). We caught the renovation bug that is very contagious in this neighborhood. We've been working hard ever since and are just starting on our 6th Fan project. When we're not swinging the hammers in Richmond, or working our day jobs in IT, we can be found working on our vintage cottages in Nags Head or relaxing on the beaches of Aruba!
