Private but not isolated. Think of it as luxury camping.
Why share your space when you can have privacy?

--Keurig coffee maker fully stocked with coffee, decaf, tea, and hot chocolate
--bedside clock with USB dock & outlets for easy phone charging
--access to covered grilling area and grill with side burner

--nestled between Mt. Adams and Mt. Hood; take advantage of what the mountains have to offer without having to worry about a long drive home
We sit on 1500' of Big Buck Creek, just a short walk down from the cabin. There is a cement block (remnants of a bridge from the 1960's) that is perfect for a picnic on a hot day or just for sitting and putting your feet in the cold water.
We are 35 miles from Mt. Hood Meadows and 25 miles Mt. Adams. Trails for hiking and exploring waterfalls are in abundance.
Got pets? Let us know. We have free range chickens so please keep dogs leashed by the house. We have miles of trails so there are plenty of places to take your four-legged friends for a walk without leashes. Also, please keep pets off the bed. We recommend bringing some extra bedding for your pet.
If you have your own kayak, you can launch north of us, enjoy a ride down the White Salmon, and pull out at Northwestern Park. NW Park is less than a 1/3 mile to the cabin. We can assist in transportation to or from launch site.
Large driveway that circles around can easily accommodate RV's, campers, and horse trailers.
**We are a no smoking facility, this includes marijuana.
Grilling area, trail down to Big Buck Creek
Interaction with guests
We love to meet the Guests at check-in otherwise we "wing" it. We've had a few guests join us on the deck for a drink & good conversation (super fun), but we like to respect the Guest's privacy. The cabin is separate from the house so it allows Guests to come & go at their leisure.
Other things to note
You may be greeted by "Phoebe," a 3 year old rottie-lab mix. Sometimes her greeting is a little loud, but she is harmless, will greet you, and then leave you alone. For guests with dogs, please be aware that we have 2 free range chickens and a rabbit.
The cabin is detached from the house but if you need washer/dryer, just let us know. The grilling area is available for your use. No smoking. No drug use, including marijuana. Pets are welcome if they are approved first.

We live in White Salmon, WA. Love the active, healthy lifestyle of the Gorge. My husband and I have been married 20 years and we are both US Marine Corps veterans. We have 3 amazing children, ages 11, 9, and 6. We love to travel. We love meeting interesting people doing interesting things. We can speak French better as we drink more wine. We are blessed to be living on an amazing piece of property that is best shared with others.
