Black Mountain Farm overlooks the Nicasio reservoir and the rolling hills of West Marin County. We have a cozy little off-the-grid "cottage" next to our pond with a bed, solar lights and incredible views. A perfect spot for artists, bikers, hikers and birders to come and enjoy a completely unplugged (no electricity/no heat) vacation. Its like Glamping in a wooden tent! . In Spring, there are lambs, baby rabbits and chicks! Come out to the country for a technology cleanse! 4 gal. of H2o provided.

Such a great place to stay in the area. Marnie and her dogs were a pleasure to meet. The place was rustic and as long as you know what to expect, the place is perfect. My partner and I would stay here again and again!

Loved this place. Much warmer than I expected since the cabin holds heat at night, and the first morning sun hits it directly. There were plenty of blankets so unless you get cold SUPPER easily you won't need a sleeping bag.

Great place. Great location, comfortable bed, cozy building. The outdoor shower worked really well. And the insulated building retained ample heat from the day. Highly recommend.

It is a small basic cottage nestled in such a beautiful tranquil magical place so close to nature. The place is nicely equipped. There are two hanging lamps with enough light for reading or playing board games. There are some flashlights, candles, night stand lamps, towels, soap,…

Hello! Glad you had a nice stay and enjoyed the dogs. Yes ,these spiders are a part of the farm. They eat the ticks and flies so I guess we have a hard time killing them. I do spray with natural herbs that are a deterrant.
