Detached Italian Villa consists of two self-catering apartments. One ground floor (Pink) and one on the first floor (Blue).
If you are 4 persons, you can have all the Villa for you (2 persons in the Pink flat and 2 persons in the Blue flat).
The flat blue, on the first floor, is composed of a beautiful veranda overlooking the Nile, an entrance hall with fully equipped kitchen, a double bedroom and a bathroom with shower and hot water. Air conditioning, heating, laundry, internet and tv are present and functioning.
The pink flat is on the ground floor of the villa and consists of kitchen, large living room with TV and sofa, 1 double bedroom and large bathroom with shower. Air conditioning, heating, internet and tv are present and functioning.
The villa is located in the West Bank, just a short walk from the Nile and in the air in front of the Temple of Luxor. The location is ideal because the neighborhood is quiet and no noise at night.
Can not get better in Luxor.
The connections with the Temple of Luxor and then the Souk are very fast and scenic. The crossing of the Nile takes 1 minute and costs between € 0.05 for the collective boat that sails several times an hour, or 1 Euro for a private taxi boat which reaches the other side when you decide.
The house is owned by me and therefore is equipped with everything. However, it is run by Mohammed, an Egyptian boy, honest and at your disposal for anything.
Mohammed can pick you up at the airport, train or bus station and take you to the Villa at any time and with a fraction of the cost.
Rispetto per la casa
Incredible value for money, located on the West Bank just 100 meters from the Nile River. We had a terrific 2 night stay and wished we could have stayed longer. As stated in many other reviews. Mohamed was extremely helpful setting up taxis and guides, at reasonable rates.
Lovely place. Great quiet area about 10 mins walk to the ferry. Bright clean and good internet.
Wish I could of stayed longer but just a quick day stop.
Host was (email hidden)cessible at all times and helpful.
Only odd part was the water cutting off at times, but I think this occurs in all of egypt often.
Me and my father stayed at Roberta and Mohamed's apartment and had a wonderful time in Luxor. Mohamed was on hand if we needed him at any time.
The villa is in a great location on the West Bank with views of the Nile and easy to get to the Theban necropolis. The villa is only 5mins away from the ferry which takes you to the east bank, where you can find the main town, Luxor temple and the amazing Karnak.
Would highly recommend!
This is the second review I leave for Ms. Fortunato, this time for 9 nights' stay in her upper flat (Blue Flat) at the Villa Diletta. This is a bijoux space, and while advertised for two people, I think it a better space reserved for one, as there are only 3 rooms in this flat - a kitchen, bathroom, and a somewhat smallish double bedroom. I found it adequate for my needs, but I doubt that both myself and husband could have enjoyed the space. I had excellent response from the caretaker/bowab, Mohamed, during my stay, and found enough outside space on the veranda for hosting of a small dinner party of 5 while there. As temps ranged from the low single figures to 30 C, keeping the space comfortable became a challenge, but the flat was adequately supplied with blankets and a good strong air conditioner. It's rare to say that I had to use all of these features in a single stay!
I found cooking meals very easy, as well as having warm showers - both of which are needed when you are on your own. The only problem I can address here is that the top step to the staircase needs to be raised about 6-7 inches as it is a greater than 12" drop from the roof top to this first step. A number of guests, and myself, found the long drop a bit of a safety worry, and one which could be easily addressed. Beyond that, the stay at the flat was very nice.
My experience was basically very positive - I was sad to leave! Roberta was in Italy but she communicated almost every day with long caring emails and Mohamed was very kind, helpful, and concerned. They are good people. The apartment is small but very clean, tastefully decorated and welcoming. There is a lot of attention to detail in the decoration and daily needs, like kitchen ware. This is obvious and appreciable. There is a nice view from the terrace of some fields and the Nile; it is a quiet neighborhood and only 50 meters or so to the river. The national ferry and adequate food shopping are close by, so it is quite convenient. The only problem is that in hot weather - I was there the end of October but the temperatures rose up to 35 Celsius! - the apartment heats up a lot and the terrace sizzles. However, they are aware of that and plan to extend the roof covering on the terrace. I suggested a better fan system in the little kitchen area, as there is only AC in the bedroom. The degree of discomfort depends on the guest's sensitivity, of course (I am old and dislike heat). For the cool weather, though, I can definitely recommend it without hesitation, to everyone. These are hosts who are on the job!
Our stay with Roberta and Mohammed in Luxor was excellent - the blue room was everything we needed for a perfect trip. The apartment is located in quiet area close to the city, giving you a relaxing place to spend the night. Both Roberta and Mohammed were extremely helpful!
Roberta and Mohammad's villa was even more beautiful than the pictures show. It was cozy and comfortable, and - this is a big plus - had a nice warm shower. Just a block from the Nile, and in a very friendly neighborhood, it's a perfect location. Mohammad was a very generous and gracious host, picking us up from the airport and arranging tours. His prices weren't bad, but it might not hurt to look around the neighborhood. You could probably find cheaper prices for falluca rides and tours of the surrounding sites. Still, this is a small complaint, as the villa was gorgeous, and Mohammad was a kind, welcoming host.
