Located within walking distance to Carrier Park, Asheville food park, and the climbing gym. You will be in the middle of it all! West Asheville, the River Arts District, and less than 5 miles from downtown. It sits on the French Broad River AND the Greenway with private river access. Ride your bike to New Belgium on the Greenway! Asheville Outdoor Center is right next door with tube rentals and shuttles, volleyball, ping pong, and a pub!

The space
The space: Not the Ritz! But we love our little (big) Airstream. She is 34 feet long, and was born in 1984 ;) The bathroom is small but with a window which makes it airy. The bedroom is a super cozy little cave with just the bed and 2 long side tables. You will have to crawl in and out of it :). We spent 2015-2016 traveling the country in the Airstream and it was a pretty stellar good time. For the winter we have a little electric wood stove that heats the entire place. Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families up to 4.

So you are in a campground, besides the space you park you are basically in a little neighborhood. The camp hosts are available to answer any questions about the campground.

Neighborhood highlights

You are in West Asheville, on the west side of the Greenway. The Greenway now goes all the way from Hominy Creek (one side of campground) to New Belgium Brewery in the Rive Arts District. The trail turns to dirt for a short time but then picks up the pavement again just before New Belgium. West asheville is full of eclectic shops and restaurants and also the best hipster watching. Downtown is where you will find the fancy and unique shops, AMAZING restaurants, and the buskers. It's pretty neat! The South slope is for BEER drinking! You will find the most breweries, a gourmet donut shop, and Buxton Hall (much loved barbecue restaurant). The campground is located near the exit for I-26 South, which will put you on your way to Pisgah National Forest and the iconic hikes such as Looking Glass and John's Rock. Views for days!
