Perfect place for us to stay! Close enough to downtown but still secluded enough to enjoy some quiet away from the city. My pup loved the backyard and quiet neighborhood! Becky was also super responsive and friendly!

Becky’s place was exactly what I needed. It would be the perfect space if traveling with a pet as well!

Funky, little cottage. Eclectic decor, a lot of fun. Full kitchen available. Very quiet. Great space if you travel with your dog. Becky is an easy going, friendly host.

There are a lot of good reviews for this place and I'm not sure why. Maybe it was a good value but the price went up or something? First off, to be fair, Becky communicated well, the place is close to town and convenient. However, there were several issues that ruined our stay. First off, I wasn't expecting a luxurious stay. I read the description. The main reason I booked it was for the "fenced in yard" The yard is only partially fenced and it was overgrown with grass and weeds to the point that I couldn't even use it to walk my dog. I had to walk her down the street that had no sidewalks. Becky mentions friendly dogs welcome in the ad but her dog seems aggressive. A pit bull or mix it looked like. He scared the heck out of us the first time we saw him. He was tied outside and barking very aggressively. She did bring him inside when she saw us out there. (I assume it was her. She didn't introduce herself) Also, just out of frame of the picnic table photo is a disabled car which kind of kills the cuteness of that space even if it wasn't overgrown. We never even used the picnic table which is a shame because it is cute. Inside the place looks like the pics. It was painted in lots of funky colors and she obviously spent a lot of time converting this garage into a "small house" The issue inside was that it wasn't particularly clean. A few stink bugs crawling around the kitchen and other areas were pretty dirty. The bathroom door didn't close all the way and there was no sink in the bathroom. You have to brush your teeth, etc in the kitchen. There was no cold water so you use hot for everything. It was also very dark inside with the dark colors and dim lighting. There were plenty of towels and tp so that is good. Overall it just wasn't a good value for that price. I paid hotel prices to stay in a place that wasn't maintained well. I give credit that a lot of work was put into making it fun and creative but for that kind of money I expected a little more.

My brother, cousin, dog, and I enjoyed our stay at Becky's. The listing it just as it appears and Becky is very communicative and willing to offer recommendations. We had privacy, felt safe, and had no issues finding the place. It is a little over 10 minute drive. I used my car a lot to go into town and was typically DD, but my cousin and brother took Lyft a few nights and had no issues. The yard at it's current state is not suitable for dogs 30 pounds and under or dogs that need very secure fencing. There are some gaps and the grass was overgrown so my smaller dog could easily get through the fence if I had let her off, and she preferred me to walk her down the road since she prefers shorter grass. Asheville was a great time overall! Highly recommend the Brewgrass Festival, Biltmore, Asheville Pinball Museum, Plant (vegan restaurant), Looking Glass Falls, Wedge Brewery, Green Man Brewery, New Belgium Brewery, and The Salt Spa of Asheville & Himalayan Salt Cave Sanctuary if you want to treat yo self to a massage. Next time though, I will probably stay closer to the city for easier accessibility.

I live here with a couple of cute dogs and even cuter kids. Lived in Tampa for over 20 years and moved to Asheville without ever visiting and LOVED it! I run an Etsy vintage store (Pink Cheetah Vintage) and love the beach, camping (I've been twice so far), shopping at small local businesses, cafes and boutiques, and of course breweries. I love to take the kids to parks or fun family events, and Iboth love art, poetry, and reading!
