Room in a home

Some info has been automatically translated.
To no Waba is a small inn offering an eco-friendly living experience. It is an old house built 110 years ago and can accommodate up to 3 people per day.
2-minute walk from Karahori Port. The Toshima Art Museum is a 15-minute walk.

The lighting in the guest room uses solar power, and your mobile phone can also be charged from a portable battery.

You can warm up from the core of your body and relax slowly with a solar water heater and a Goemon bath boiled with firewood.

The kitchen garbage is composted in the compost bin, and the ash from the stove is returned to the garden. Humans are also one of the creatures that live on Earth. We value the cycle of nature.

Feel the richness of Toshima with your five senses, such as the sunrise, sunset, the sound of birds, the sound of waves, and the starry sky. We look forward to seeing you.

The space
It is a homestay format where you can experience island life living under the same roof as the owner.

The private bedroom is a 6-tatami Japanese-style room.It is separated by a sliding door, so the sound may reverberate.

The bath has an old-fashioned Goemon bath and shower. The bathroom, toilet, and kitchen are shared with the owner.

There is no free wifi.

We provide condiments, alcohol, and beverages that are organic whenever possible.
You can also cook in the kitchen.
You can use the herbs in the garden for tea and cooking.
If you wish, we can prepare vegetarian meals.(Advance booking, extra charge)

Enjoy living in a 110-year-old traditional house.

Guest access
Please do not enter the small room next to the kitchen.

Please refrain from entering the room at the front door during the night, as the landlord uses it as a bedroom.

Other things to note
Toshima's artworks are closed every Tuesday. (If Monday is a holiday, then Wednesday)
As a result, most restaurants and bicycle rental shops are closed on Tuesdays.

There are no convenience stores or supermarkets on Toshima.
There are a few private shops. There are two within walking distance of the house.
