Our home has three ensuite bedrooms each with a queen size bed plus a small room that can be set up for one person on comfortable air mattress as well as two other air mattresses that could be placed in any of the bedrooms or other living spaces.
When you come to Silicon Valley, you want to be able to enjoy life inside and outside in our terrific Northern California weather. This craftsman style home has 3 bedrooms with queen size beds, 3 en-suite bathrooms, 3 wonderful porches, and a fabulous back yard.
The house is in a quiet family neighborhood, but its less than two blocks to a green grocer with great take out burritos, charming coffeeshop/cafe, and a dry cleaner. The kitchen is stocked with coffee, tea, and all the condiments you need for a quick breakfast or a great family meal.
Extra features inside include granite and stainless steel kitchen, washer/dryer, wifi, 2 HDTV viewing areas, DVD player, Roku or Apple TV, and first floor powder room. There’s also a pull out single bed in one of the bedrooms for an extra guest. Outside you can enjoy the swing on the front porch, or one under the trellis in the back yard, let the Roman style fountain help you unwind, or play games on the back lawn.
Guests will have access to the entire house, the large front porch and the large rear deck and driveway. Provided with the house are sheets, towels, soap, shampoo, laundry soap, iron and ironing board, a fully outfitted kitchen.
*An in-law apartment shares a portion of the rear deck. That apartment has no access to the house. My long term tenant Sam is very discreet. She enters and leaves by the alleyway. Sam is often helpful to guests with questions about the area, the house, or if there is difficulty getting in. We fully appreciate and honor your need for privacy.
Interaction with guests
To make things easy we have arranged for you to check in without assistance by entering a code to the front door. In order that we ensure the house is properly prepared, your hosts would appreciate being notified of your arrival time. It is also helpful to know your departure time. We would be happy to allow for an earlier check-in or later check-out provided there are no other same day arrivals or departures. Please let us know that in advance and we will do our best to accommodate you.
A binder is provided with information about the house as well as the community. If you still have questions we would be happy to answer by email or telephone.
Other things to note
During weekdays our neighbors would appreciate an outdoor quiet time after 10:00 pm.
Guests will be expected to respect the privacy of the neighbors as well as my tenant who has an apartment at the rear of the property. Large parties are not suitable for this listing. This is a residential neighborhood with neighbors who expect quiet after 10:00pm. All outdoor conversation--either on the porch or rear deck--must be ended at that time. When arriving late at night please be considerate of our neighbors and keep noise to a minimum. If you cannot agree to these conditions please select another Airbnb property.
We are a no smoking, no pets house. Not because we dislike those who smoke or have pets. We just want fewer issues for the most number of guests. Smoking on the front porch is acceptable.
It would be appreciated if unneeded lights were turned off when leaving the house as well as when in the house. In the ongoing California water shortage a wise use of water is encouraged.
When leaving please refer to the check out instructions in the house.

My wife and I raised two children in Menlo Park where we have lived for the past 22 years. We enjoy living here and think you'll be pleased to stay here as well. My wife Pam was an executive for a large non-profit organization and I took photographs for magazines and Silicon Valley corporations. Both of us are now retired and look forward to travel and staying at other Airbnb rentals.
