Casa Valdres has been a popular AirbBnB rental around the lake since 2012. We are the new owners as of September 2022. This has always been a fantastic place to share with friends or to create family memories. And, we've made a few upgrades to make it even more amazing. Enjoy the spectacular views and stroll through the stunning grounds, an opportunity not to be missed.

The space
This is one of the most up-market properties around the lake. We've been hosting families, friends, wellness retreats and even weddings since 2012. Spacious rooms, amazing views of active volcanoes, and stunning grounds where you can pick bananas, avocados, limes, manderin oranges, papaya or ginger right off the plant. Incredible!

Guest access
Local bars and restaurants are a ten-minute walk away and there are lots of activities around the area to fill your days. 2 Stand up paddles are available upon request, rent kayaks nearby, swim in the pool or lake, bird-watch, hike, tour villages and shop local markets. Or, sit back, put your feet up, swing in a hammock & read a book! 5-minute walk to the dock, 10-minute walk to local bars and restaurants, 20-minute boat ride to Panajachel. The town of Santa Cruz is car free. Our property is not accessible by car.

Other things to note
The only way to arrive to Santa Cruz is by boat. If you arrive by car you can easily leave it parked in a secure car park in Panajachel called Cayucos Marino for 75Q / $10 a night.

If you want any meals cooked during your stay there are local women who can cook for you. Do ask and I can arrange it for you.
