Description

The space

Buckman is a close in SE Portland neighborhood which is an increasingly popular place to live. The apartment is at the eastern end of the neighborhood. There are parks, a picturesque cemetery, good restaurants, wine bars, craft brewing pubs and the Laurelhurst movie theater, all within walking distance. The #15 bus line runs to downtown on the other side of the cemetery (6 blocks). A little further afield (just over a mile) is the Hawthorne district where there are some off beat shops and more places to eat and drink. Downtown is 2 miles away.
The apartment is part of a new build and is situated at the rear of the property next to the garden It is one story up (over the garage) and receives a lot of natural light. It is fully self-contained, all appliances are new which makes self-catering very easy. What it lacks in history it more than makes up for in convenience!

Buckman is pretty close to downtown while still having a residential flavor. It also contains a number of agreeable restaurants, wine bars and brewpubs.
Everyday shopping needs such as grocery stores are also well served. Additionally it is pretty easy to get to the major freeways for travel purposes.

Buses run to downtown and back a few blocks over.

Perfect unit. Spacious and comfortable bed with a shower, laundry, and kitchen. The neighborhood is clean and quiet and there is a lot of restaurants, shops, and parks in walking distance (I used uber and public transit while visiting). Cara and Roger are wonderful hosts who makes sure everything is in order and comfortable. If this place is available when you're visiting Portland, do yourself a favor and reserve it!

Our stay in Portland was excellent. The location near restaurants and bars was convenient for walking and we easily drove out of town to explore the Columbia River Gorge. Parking was plentiful on the street. Nearby beer and food is wonderful.

This studio was great! Even better than the pictures portray. It's quiet, in a super cute neighborhood, but still very central to where ever you want to go. We loved our time there, and hope we can stay there the next time we're in Portland.

It's a cute, spacious apartment in the southeast side of Portland. It's close to a few restaurants (like Screen Door and Heart Coffee) and a short ride to downtown. The check in process is very simple and it offers complete privacy.

This is a very clean, comfortable and quiet. Nice neighbors too. Walkable distance to some nice neighborhood spots especially Crema Coffee. Seemed very safe and a great place we wouldn't mind coming back to...only they always seem booked! No wonder.

Cara User ProfileCara is a superhost.

Professional couple who enjoy urban life with 2 simple cats. New York is too fast, Seattle too crowded, Portland is just right. Hosting out-of-town friends (and now strangers) is pure pleasure in this great town!
