Located on seven scenic riverfront acres, the property boasts stunning views among the rolling hills, tranquil stream, & lush fields, all within the Wisconsin Driftless Region. Inside, flooded with natural light and cozy cottage charm, the Trimbelle Cottage is the perfect place to get away and reconnect with loved ones. Enjoy a cup of coffee in the breakfast nook, fish on the river, cozy up with a book, and finish your day with a dip in the hot tub. All of this within an hour of the Twin Cities!
The space
The Property | Our seven-acre property allows for walks through rural pastures, along the river, and in wooded areas. It's also home to a public fishing easement with ample fly fishing opportunities on the class one trout waters of the Trimbelle (trout season is January - October 15th). Guests can take in true rural living and the best the Wisconsin Driftless area has to offer. Experience the sights and sounds of country living and some of the best bird watching in the area!
Outdoor Spaces | The front of the cottage has a covered front porch with a built-in bench. The back boasts a three level sprawling deck featuring a six-person hot tub in a lighted covered gazebo, a grill, and patio furniture. There’s also an outdoor fire pit for s’mores and stories around the campfire.
The Kitchen | Enter through the covered front porch to the full kitchen, complete with a perfect eating nook with tons of natural light and scenic views, a gas stove, fridge, the cutest vintage glassware, four different ways to make coffee, and everything else you'll need to cook and prepare meals during your stay.
The Living Room | The coziest living room features an electric fireplace, multiple seating areas, a Smart TV with access to streaming services, a record player, and a book shelf with some of our favorite reads. It also has sliding doors to both the front porch and back deck, allowing for a flood of natural light. Please note that the fireplace is not currently working.
The Bedrooms | There are three bedrooms at the cottage: one on the main floor with a queen sized bed and two upstairs (one with a queen sized bed and another with two twin beds).
The Bathrooms | There are two full baths in the house, one on the main floor and one upstairs.
The Laundry Room | We have a washer and dryer on the main floor that guests are welcome to use if needed.
Guest access
Guests will have access to the entire house, all amenities, and the whole property. With the exception of an owner's closet in the basement, the cottage is yours for the duration of your stay.
There is a sloped paver stone path to the front door which could be difficult for those with mobility issues. There’s also an external door to the unfinished basement with a wood staircase and railing inside.

*We can host up to 8 guests (2 on a fold out couch) for an additional guest fee.
We love the outdoors and the stunning Trimbelle River, and we are committed to keeping it that way. Please fish responsibly and help us take care of the property.
Since we are home to a public fishing easement, other anglers are welcome to fish and walk within 60 feet of the river on both sides from January through October 15th. While the property is private and secluded, you may run into one or two other people wanting to take advantage of the beautiful class one waters during this time.
We are located in a rural neighborhood with sparse neighbors here and there. We ask that you be a good neighbor so we can maintain positive relationships with everyone in the area.
