The Cortecito area of Bavaro gets its name from the small mass of beach 🏖 area that sticks out and is locally known and Punta El Cortecito (Cortecito Point).

It is a relatively small, beach, tourist, and residential 🏠 area where you will see kids 👦🏻 👧🏻 walking 🚶🏼‍♀️home from school alongside tourists enjoying the laid-back 😎 atmosphere, and locals 👋🏼 making their way to their destination.

🚶‍♀️ We highly recommend walking to the local restaurants 🍽️, bars 🍸, and coffee shops ☕ sprinkled throughout the area.

🌊 The main part of the region stretches from the beach shore to Avenida Alemania (German Avenue). In our listing pics, you’ll see that you can walk around it all in about 30 minutes ⏱️.
