Imagine waking up, opening the shutters of a 300-year-old stone house, and seeing vineyards and meadows in front of you. No noise.
The Winzerhaus is the heart of Jablan Winery, Montenegro's only Demeter-certified winery. And what we offer in the house should convey the same feeling as our wines: grounded and vibrant.

The space
The House
Three levels, stone walls that have seen centuries. A cosy terrace where evenings disappear, next to it a barbecue and an outdoor shower. A/C in living and bed room. Ground floor is naturally cooled by stone walls.

This place is for people who want to discover a country and its traditions off the beaten path. The village has no shops, which is exactly the point. Stock up in Podgorica (20 min) or Rijeka Crnojevića (15 min) before you arrive. For evenings out, the fishing villages of Karuč (10 min) and Rijeka Crnojevića have excellent fish restaurants right on the water.

Getting Around
Two mountain bikes are available free of charge. Additional bikes can be arranged on request. For the hills, and there are hills, we offer e-bike rental at €25 per day, the most enjoyable way to explore the National Park at your own pace.

Prefer to walk? A trail to Karuč village starts right from the property. 5 km, about 1 hour 45 minutes, beautiful the whole way.
There is plenty more to explore. We are happy to share recommendations and help you plan anything from hiking and cycling to mountain biking, horse riding, local cooking experiences, and wine tasting. Just let us know what sounds good.

The Wine
The vines you fall asleep next to are the same ones that produce our wine. We farm biodynamically: no chemicals, no irrigation, no shortcuts. We follow the lunar calendar. We ferment in Qvevri, ancient clay vessels buried in the earth. No filtration, no fining, no added yeasts.

Demeter-certified Red or Orange, €25 per bottle. Let us know before arrival and we will have a bottle waiting.

Private cellar tastings can be arranged, please let us now ahead. Come see and taste exactly where your wine comes from.

The house itself and the terrace are yours. Our uncle Luka lives next door, he is a quiet guy and will not disturb your stay, but you should respect his privacy, especially around his house. Upon your arrival, we will show you the part of the property that you can move into and use.

If you want to stay in our house in early spring - until mid-April or late autumn from October - please remember that it can get cool. A well-functioning A/C heater on the middle floor and in the bedroom make the stay pleasant.

Tivat is our base to enjoy the seaside style of living in Montenegro.
