My wife and I stayed in the Margherita room on Jan 1-2 and really enjoyed it. The room is big, with a beautiful vaulted, painted ceiling that makes it feel like a room from a long-lost era.
We walked from the train station which was about a 25 minute walk away. The B&B is a bit hard to find but you have to just look for the address number and the sign on the door. Giordano and his family were great hosts; his son spoke good English and gave us a nice orientation upon check-in. My wife is gluten free and they were able to provide special gluten free pastries for her at breakfast since we'd emailed about this in advance.
A big plus for this B&B is its location. VERY close to the main square in Siena and everything else.
The only negatives to our experience were the noise (the Margherita room overlooks the street and it can get pretty loud with cars and pedestrians). It didn't prove a hindrance to our sleeping, but they do provide earplugs if you need them. The other thing that was a small downside was the coldness of the room. It was chilly during our stay and while there are heaters in the room, they never seemed to warm the room up completely.
Overall it was a comfortable stay and a perfect, affordable spot for our two nights in beautiful Siena.
Fantastic room in a perfect location! And in the morning you get a perfect breakfast. We could have not asked for more! Giordano is a great guy and made everything possible to make us feel welcome.
Be aware that due to its central location and the room facing the street, it is not the quietest room. But this shouldn't be a problem if you want to expereince the full Siena flair and culture.
We had a lovely stay with Jordan and his family. We initially struggled to find the B&B as we went in through northen Siena - make sure to get directions prior to leaving, satnav can be dubious!
The room is huge and beautifully decorated, the ensuit is large, clean and looks fairly new.
They were extremely helpful in providing parking information and information about siena and its sights.
The breakfast is good italian meat, cheese, cerial and pastry with an impressive coffee machine.
We had a lovely night stay and would happily return.
We loved our stay at Giordano's B&B Bulgarini. Giordano and his family were very attentive and always willing to help. The Margherita room was a big clean room with a charming alfresco spanning the entire ceiling, a comfortable bed, separate private bathroom and a separate toilet shower room. The breakfast in a separate shared dining room was full of fresh produce and plentiful. If you are looking for central and spacious B&B accommodation in Siena run by an honest and lovely family who take pride in their service - this is the place to stay. We picked the Margherita room because we wanted to be part of the hustle and bustle of the foot traffic. See what other rooms are available if you want something quieter.
The place is nice but a bit noisy at night (we were there on a Friday night) but the host are very warm people.
Ottimo!!!!!
Giordano and his family are great hosts and had great communication. Check in was easy and they gave us a spot to place our bags after we checked out so we could hang out in Siena a bit longer.
The room is very well done and has plenty of room. The fresco ceilings are very nice. The location is convenient to all the sights and just a short cab ride a way from the train station.
One item to note is the room was on the main street and a little noisy. So if your a light sleeper you may want to request a room that does not face the main street in front.
I would recommend Giordano and his place to any couple looking to stay in Siena for a few days.
The city of Siena, unfortunately, it's all a bit noisy perhaps for its shape. In fact, all the narrow medieval streets amplify the noise, maybe we are used to this and we are not bothered. We apologize and we would be delighted to welcome you again! Greetings from all of us. Jordan and his family.
The room was excellent, very large and comfortable. Giordano and his family very welcoming. The breakfast was excellent and Siena is worth looking at. All good.
I'm sorry it has taken so long to write this review. I want to say that our experience at B&B Bulgarini was wonderful. Giordano and his family were very welcoming and gracious hosts. The room we stayed in was beautiful.I would highly recommend staying at B&B Bulgarini if you are going to Siena.
