About This Listing
My small cosy one bedroom flat comfortably sleeps two sharing. It is located on a quiet residential street, has a private internal courtyard parking space and is a short walk from the city centre. It's location has fantastic transport links to London and mainland Europe.
With my carpentry skills I have created a space that has a strong theme based around reclaimed wood. It has a cosy living space with custom built stairs leading to a converted loft space. The bed space has cosy and unique feel to it, having designed and built the bed myself. The kitchen is small but has everything you should require for your stay.
Guests will have full and private access to the entire flat and the private parking space. There is also wireless internet available in the flat for those who require it.

As well as great local connections, the is an extensive variety of places to eat locally in Canterbury. If you would like to eat in, or simply buy some supplies, there is also huge supermarket about a 3 minute walk away. At the end of my road there is a recently converted pub that is now a very reasonably priced breakfast/brunch cafe.
If you fancy an alternative stroll into the city centre, you can join the 'Great Stour Way' (4 min walk away) which is a newly intoduced walk/cycle route following the Stour River. Opened in 2011 for Canterbury as a gateway to the Stour Valley and to the Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

We had a lovely stay at James's flat! Although we never met, David was very accommodating and provided us with very helpful instructions regarding finding the property and arranging an early check in which was really appreciated. The breakfast provided was a very nice touch and the flat itself was perfect for our needs. I loved the bedroom/attic it's as lovely as it looks in the photos and it almost feels like sleeping in a secret den! About the Host, James
Hi, I am a local carpenter based in Canterbury but regularly travel regularly to mainland Europe for work. This is my flat and have made the majority of furnishings myself and have made it very simple and cosy. I am seemingly in Holland more regularly which means the flat is sitting there unused and why i would like to open it to guests.
