Average multicultural neighborhood. There is a mini market/deli across from train station and another one near intersection of Tioga & Kensington Ave. Also chines take out around corner from house. Train station across from my home gives fast access to any event or location in Philly. Average time to Center City is 20 minutes. Feel free to research neighborhood before booking.
Very easy.Tioga elevated train station across the street from the house and bus stop on corner from house.
Things to do: you can take train to 2nd street station to explore the tourist area's of the city. Walking towards 10th & walnut you can head North to Chinatown, and or Reading Terminal Market. From there you can check out Love Park at 15th & JFK with a view down Ben Franklin Parkway of Art Museum along with other museums. At this point you can go back south to Rittenhouse Square @ 18th & Walnut or continue up the Parkway . Anything specific please ask. i,e, one guest loved vinyl records so I told him about a few shops in town.

Because it's a shared home I expect guest to clean shower with supplied cleaner and clean up kitchen and dishes by placing in dish washer or hand washing after eating. Please remember to turn off lights behind you.
Please keep conversation and volume low after 10:00 pm as walls between rooms are not sound proof. Please remove shoes in foyer.

Great! Hosts were very welcoming - this was a great long-term stay - they even took me to the laundromat to make life easier for me - convenient location and easy to find. The neighborhood is not the greatest but I had absolutely no problem. Nice people at the nearby metro station helped me navigate the city and gave me directions. The only negative is the cat(s) [during my stay a kitten and a cat became tenants in the front porch area during the harsh winter time] only became really comfortable and used to me by the time I had to leave :P But the cats definitely were a plus for me :) Nice clean place with two bathrooms (so if in a rush didn't have to wait for the shared bathroom) and great kitchen space. Netflix/tv was a great perk.
Same as last time, I had nice experience staying at Glenn & Xin's house (even in a different room).
The most importance were:
Good night sleep and free parking.
The room is very clean and warm
He makes me comfortable he is sooooo kind !
Big tub is awesome he allows to use it and he prepares for me
Their pets are friendly
I recommend this house :)
The room was perfect: private, clean and very cozy. Glenn's & Xin's house is beautiful, confortable and homy. Also the location is very convenient, the house is literally across the street from the subway's station.
Muy buena experiencia. Acogida cálida y amable. Tanto la habitación como la casa cumplieron con mis expectativas. Muy buena conexión con el centro a través del transporte público.
Host was very quick to respond and was available to welcome me at the time I arrived. The location is indeed across the street from the Metro that goes all the way to downtown. The house itself is lovely and comfortable, and the hosts provide everything needed, including breakfast! I'm sad I didn't have time to try the soaking tub. I had previously been warned about the neighborhood, but encountered only polite greetings, even as a lone woman who did a lot of walking into the more industrial parts of the neighborhood to get to my event venue.

When traveling we always use airbnb. We recently had memorable time at a charming hutong in Beijing China and a high rise in the heart of Hong Kong.
We love great food, and travel. We relax with a picnic in a park with a book, or in bed with a movie on a Sunday evening.
I can't live without my camera, and must have it with me at all times when traveling.
Xin loves to read and will usually have a book on her iPad.
