Designed for couples, families, and small groups who want room to spread out, this spacious retreat offers mountain views, a private hot tub, and cozy evenings by the fire pit.
Hike by day, soak under the stars at night, and enjoy the kind of calm you can’t get in a crowded cabin.

Clean, comfortable, and full of natural light, this spacious 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath retreat will be your new favorite home away from home. With a well-stocked kitchen, ample indoor and outdoor dining space, an open-air loft for room to sprawl, and a walkout basement outfitted with fun for the whole family, you'll have a hard time leaving the house to explore!
Bring your family and friends and enjoy the multi-level outdoor space; an expansive upper deck for lounging, grilling, and taking in the views of the rolling Kentucky hills and a lower patio with a relaxing hot tub, additional outdoor seating, as well as room to play ladderball or cornhole. The front lawn is perfect for tossing around a football, playing tag, or watching for the deer and bunnies that frequent our neighborhood.
Wind down at day's end around the cozy fire pit to recount your stories; just don't forget to bring fixings for s'mores!
While we encourage disconnecting and getting back to nature on your trip, we do have 300Mbps fiber internet at the house; a nice upgrade for our area!
THE AREA
A scenic drive away from Mammoth Cave National Park, and located only a mile down the road from Nolin Lake State Park, Gather is the perfect launchpad to explore the surrounding area. It is located in a tucked away, peaceful neighborhood.
Mammoth Cave National Park Visitor's Center is a scenic, meandering drive away, with quickest access through the town of Brownsville. Mammoth Cave National Park is the WORLD'S LONGEST underground cave system and a UNESCO World Heritage Site! Be sure to book a tour before you go to learn about the history, geology, and exploration of the caves.
Down the street, Nolin Lake State Park has a sandy beach with a dedicated swimming area in the summer, a no-fee boat ramp, bathrooms, and hiking and mountain biking trails at Brier Recreation Area. Lake fishing includes bass, crappie, walleye, bluegill, trout and catfish; be sure to bring your poles and favorite bait! Special fishing regulations apply. *UPDATE: As of July 1, 2025, this area is currently closed due to April 2025 flooding and clean up efforts. We are hopeful it will be reopen for the 2026 season! Nolin Lake Tailwater area off of Nolin Dam Road is a another great public spot for fishing and is close to the house.

: : THE DERBY ROOM : : KING bedroom on upper floor with large walk-in closet and en-suite full bathroom. Cozy extra seating for a quiet cup of coffee or some time on your laptop/phone.
: : THE GOLDENROD ROOM : : QUEEN bedroom on main floor, decorated in the theme of the Kentucky state flower. Neutral wood tones and golden accents. A second full bathroom is located on this floor.
: : THE BLUE HERON ROOM : : QUEEN bedroom on main floor, decorated in soothing blue tones, ensuring a restful night's sleep. Blue Heron can be spotted locally around Nolin Lake, be sure to keep your eye out for them!
: : LOFT with comfy TWIN TRUNDLE bed, sleeps 2 guests.
: : BASEMENT Beautifully finished with a pull out QUEEN sleeper sofa, that can sleep 2. An additional half bathroom is located down here.
EATING: Well-stocked kitchen with pots & pans, dishware, utensils, coffee bar with fixings, and more! Dishwasher with detergent pods, dish soap, sponge, and starter rolls of paper towels provided. Dining table has room for 8. Saddle up to the counter for additional seating for 4 more.
RELAXING: Couches in main living area are conducive to settling down after a day of exploration, whether that is conversation, cards, or reading. A record player rounds out the area for some ambiance...feel free to bring along your favorites! Basement level offers another comfy couch for watching TV and a seating area for board games. And don’t forget about the dueling arcade games and foosball table!
OUTSIDE: Large upper deck with outdoor dining set, lounge seating, and propane grill (propane is included!). Lower concrete patio with additional seating and hot tub.
A lighted path leads you to chairs around the fire pit. Firewood is available locally on your way in, the closest of which is Jake's Firewood right off of Brier Creek Road.
SECURITY: There are outdoor security cameras at the two main entrances to the house for security purposes only. Please do not attempt to cover or otherwise tamper with them; doing so will result in immediate eviction without a refund.
PARKING: Neighborhood access road and driveway are gravel and have some slope in parts (which is what makes for the scenic view!); AWD or 4WD is recommended and preferred, and required in wet conditions. Please note: we do not salt or plow the neighborhood in the winter. If snow is in the forecast, consider bringing chains! When you get to the house, there is ample space for multiple cars on the driveway; please do not park on the lawn or on the neighborhood road. Garage itself is not available for parking.

Guests have access to the entire main house, deck, patio, driveway and front lawn. Garage is not available for use.

We recommend bringing your main groceries in with you. This is a peaceful, rural area—it’s part of what makes it special!

- Walmart & Save-A-Lot (40 min, Leitchfield) – Best for full grocery runs

Edmonson County is dry. Alcohol is not sold locally, so please plan ahead and bring any with you.
Lake Access (Please Read!)
Dock access is not included nor available with this rental. This is due to U.S. Army Corps of Engineers regulations, which apply to all homes on Nolin Lake—private docks may not be used by guests renting lake homes.
However, you’re just 1 mile from Nolin Lake State Park, where there’s a free public boat ramp for launching your own watercraft.

Lake Levels & Wildlife
Nolin Lake is a seasonal reservoir, and water levels change throughout the year:
Summer (May–Oct): Full pool for swimming, boating, fishing
Winter (Nov–April): Low levels, often exposing the lakebed—a neat way to explore, but not ideal for water activities
You’re in the Kentucky countryside, so it’s not uncommon to see deer, bunnies, birds, or the occasional insect or critter. We use regular pest control to help minimize surprises.
