By enjoying time at That Little Lodge you are immersing yourself, friends, and family in the nature of Lake Tahoe. Bears and other critters are at home in the forest and precautions should be taken to ensure you and the wildlife are safe. Keep ALL house and car doors locked as well as the downstairs windows closed at all times.
Please enjoy the fresh Tahoe air and allow our other guests to do the same. We do not permit smoking in or near the property.
Please note that our home is off the highway that wraps around Lake Tahoe. This allows us to have sparkling lake views and keep travel time down when exploring everything Lake Tahoe has to offer. There may be some road noise when outside grilling, but is unlikely to be heard while enjoying the indoors. Concerns? Check out our reviews or send us a message.
Per home rules we cannot accommodate more than 3 cars in our parking zone. The county limits the number of cars we are allowed to park and the remaining area is for the neighbors and as a driveway between the houses near us. Double-parking, parking in neighbors parking spots, and street parking is not permitted under any circumstance. Best transportation to the lake is bike or car. Local transportation is available.
Winter travel warning: There is a small hill leading up to the parking area. It is strongly encouraged that guests have snow tires, chains, or something to help them navigate the driveway should there be inclement weather. Snow will be plowed when there is 6+ inches of snow, which can accumulate quickly in the winter seasons.
Summer travel warning: The Lodge, like many Tahoe homes, does not have air conditioning. We have fans in the house to help keep cool during the day. At night the temperatures drop and often there will be a light breeze to help cool the Lodge off. In addition, the pass is unpredictable and winter snow storms are not impossible. Please be prepared for your drive- we want you to arrive safely! See notice below.
***It is highly recommended that guests purchase trip cancellation/interruption insurance in case of family emergencies, funerals, bad weather delays, flight/rental car cancellations, job loss, snow/ice, early departures, etc. If you live in an area prone to hurricanes, forest fires, etc. and cannot make your trip, please seek reimbursement through your travel insurance.
Guest access
The entire house is yours with a few exceptions: under the house, the closet outside of bedroom 3, and the closet under the stairs! We keep our house supplies in these areas.
Other things to note
Please be sure to read all descriptions, amenity lists, and home rules to ensure our home is a good fit for you and your group. Feel free to reach out with questions you don’t see an answer to. We’re happy to help!
Lake access is not at a walkable distance, although the lake is directly across the street. Recommended travel to the lake is a bike or car.
