The bathroom has a big closet and dresser for storing your belongings. The yurt is heated by a woodstove. There will be firewood in the yurt for your use and instructions of where to find cut and dry firewood for your use in the woodstove. And, a Rinnai thermostat controlled heater lets you sleep through the night without having to get up to feed the woodstove. There is no Wi-Fi and most people have no cell phone service.
During the months of June, July, August and October there is a minimum of a two night stay requested.
The yurt is just steps from the Hartland Winter Trail system – cross-country skiing and/or snowshoeing, as well as, hiking. The fauna and flora of Vermont are plentiful around the yurt. In the winter, you will hear the hooting of owls. In the spring, you will hear the songs of the spring peepers. In the summer, you hear the beautiful melodies of the birds. In the fall, you’ll enjoy the magnificent colors of the deciduous trees and the display of mushrooms along the trails.

My boyfriend and I had a nice time at the yurt. The yurt has everything you need for a comfortable stay and everything was presented with intention and care. The bed was amazingly comfortable and the heat was easy to control, with two options of the wood stove and the propane heater.
We also had a chance to explore the trails right behind the yurt which were wide and pleasant - we saw two horses and a woodpecker!
This is a pleasant, private, and peaceful place. It's obvious that Angela has put a great deal of warmth and energy into the yurt.
Angela met us, showed us the ins and outs of the place then let us be. Fresh eggs were provided... A very sweet touch!
Thank you Angela for a wonderful stay at your yurt in the woods. The experience was everything you described and more, thank you for sharing your home with us as well as the access to the beautiful Vermont forest. The thought and care that you've fostered is present throughout the experience from your pleasant notes reminding and guiding your guests on being eco-friendly to the beautiful garden surrounding the yurt and to the guidebook which provides guests with many ideas for local activities, amenities, and more. Thank you.
This was a great experience. Everything was clean and comfortable. I was so happy to see fresh eggs in the fridge, but no butter, just some condiments. A minor drawback. There was coffee beans, tea, plenty of kitchen ware to cook. A nice speaker plug in so we could hear our tunes while we had our morning coffee in this serene spot in the woods. We needed a night away that would be relaxing and this hit the spot. No guest book and no hiking books (although they have NH and ME trail books, someone probably stole their VT one). I would have your trip planned before you go. The Skunk Hollow Tavern and the Hartland Diner were Top!! I would definitely recommend this place to others.
Amazing. Best accommodations ever. Every detail of the yurt is so well thought out-decor, storage, layout...it's all perfect. The yurt is clean, cozy and peaceful. The hosts provide fresh eggs and give you a quick tutorial when you arrive and then nothing but peace and quiet. My wife and I loved everything about it. Can't say enough good things. Perfect for anyone looking to get into the woods and away from it all.
The yurt was remote and in a beautiful setting. The hosts shared great recommendations about the area as well. Great stay!
This was our second time here, and we plan to come again. It's a great place, cozy and romantic, fun and serene. The hosts once again made everything perfect; we arrived to a fire in the wood burning stove, and everything was clean and organized. Easter egg-type notes/ instructions scattered throughout add a special touch. Truly worth the trip.
