Legacy Acres is a beautifully updated farmhouse on South Deep Creek in the heart of Yadkin Valley Wine Country. Just minutes from Lake Hampton and also on the US 21 Road Market trail (Huge Yard Sale spanning miles). Great views, woods, and creek access. Awesome for family, the adventurer, the gold panner, and the lovers of wine.. 20 minutes from Wilkesboro Speedway for racing fans! 30 min. to Mayberry. Close to Winston-Salem. Welcome to our luxuriously rustic paradise!

The space
Please see all notes about rooms. There is a small spiral staircase that is the only access to the upstairs. This house is recommended for the adventurous short term rental group. There is a pull out bed in the living room for those who are not comfortable with the stairs. Please note, luggage may have to be carried upstairs one piece at a time. Recommend to go down stairs backwards. There is a loft space (with push locks on the gate) and also a small open window at the top of the stairs overlooking kitchen.

Please be aware that this is a self-service stay. We will have paper products and trash bags enough to get you started. Remember to bring your favorite toiletries.

Guest access
Guests will be able to access the side of the creek the farmhouse is on all the way back through the clearing until they meet woods on the right side. Guests are also welcome to go across the street behind old mill building to the creek access on that side. Please do not enter the tiny home behind the farmhouse unless you are renting them together for your party. Please only go down shared driveway up until it meets farmhouse.

Other things to note
.Upstairs bedrooms and 1 bathroom are only accessible by small spiral staircase. Recommended stay for the adventurous; especially when carrying luggage upstairs. There is a queen pull out sofa bed downstairs and also a twin fold down futon. The tiny house behind the farmhouse could also be rented at the same time for grandparents or others who are not comfortable with the spiral staircase. Please also note before booking that there is a loft area that has gates (with push locks) and the top of the spiral staircase has a small open window overlooking the kitchen area. There are roll out clothes organizers for the king room and loft room in the upstairs hall closet.

Neighborhood highlights

Many people rent this area for the MerleFest. It is central to many, many vineyards. Not far from a few mountains. Also close to the Wilkesboro Speedway, for the racing fans. About 30 minutes from Mount Airy. 25 minutes from Winston-Salem. 10 minutes from Yadkinville, Jonesville, and Elkin. The land is connected to the Yadkin Memorial Park at Lake Hampton by the creek side behind the mill. A vehicle must be taken to get to the heart of the park and is about an 8 minute drive. It has fishing access, kayak and Johnboat rental, and more. The closest store, Dollar General, is a couple of minutes away. There is a gas station, Subway restaurant, and Debbie’s Snack Bar restaurant just a few minutes away.

My work: Renovation. Sales
Hi! My name is Krista, my family lives on a little tiny farm. We love people and each other. We have a cute Frenchie named Bogie B and a Dachshund named Frankie Valentine. I love to write but don’t make a lot of time for it right now. I want to help people and want to make a legacy for my family. I wrote a book for my son Wilkhe, who was not verbal until he was 3, called “Sir Wilkie Wills”. These houses provide for my widowed mom.
