The space
A beautiful, serene 17-acre working fiber & lavender agritourism farm in Franklin County, NC with alpacas, llamas, Angora goats, sheep, donkeys, horses, chickens, & Guineas.

We are conveniently located about 15 minutes from Wake Forest or Louisburg, 24 miles from Red Hat Amphitheater, RDU Airport, or the NC State Fairgrounds, 26 miles from DPAC in Durham, and 28 miles from Duke Gardens. Interstate 85 is about 21 miles. Interstate 95 is about 50 miles. Feel free to walk around the property and relax on the patio.

Hosts occupy the property’s primary house 24/7. We make ourselves available to help with questions or needs. We’re happy to recommend things to do in the area. Our little town of Franklinton has some amazing restaurants and shopping as does nearby Youngsville.

Guests may have visitors with prior approval. Because of liability, visitors may not use the pool. Please ask.

A 45 minute farm tour is included for our guests if time allows & we are available. It may be hard to fit in a tour if you’re only staying one night but we will be happy to try. Just let us know if you’d like a tour. Your visitors may join in a farm tour for a fee. ($8 for ages 5+)

Follow the driveway to the back of our house. Park in the space in front of the first garage door on the right. After parking, follow the sidewalk to the patio. Once inside the patio, the entrance to the AirBnB is to the immediate left. Any additional vehicles, including your visitors, should park below the garage in our designated customer/visitor parking area.

POOL
Our pool is not heated. We keep it covered during the fall and winter and remove the covering in April or May. The water will probably not be warm enough to swim until May. There are some guest beach towels in the bathroom in the AirBnB. There is an outside bathroom on the patio as well as a TV. Use of our pool is restricted to registered guests only. Please ask if you have visitors .

*Swim at your own risk.
*An adult must supervise all children on the patio, when using the pool, and around the animals.
* No glass containers in pool area.
* No running around or diving in the pool.

FARM TOURS
As an agritourism farm, we offer approximately 45 min. public, educational, walking tours by reservation on our website to learn about our animals, our fiber, and lavender farming. Registered AirBnB guests receive a tour included with their stay if time allows and we are available. We can do an abbreviated tour if needed. Allow time to shop in our farm store stocked with alpaca socks & other alpaca goods, soaps, pottery, lavender products, & handcrafts by local artisans. Visitors may join the tour at $10 for ages 5+.

* As we are a working farm, we will need to schedule your tour. Please let us know your availability and we will try to find a suitable time. We begin feeding usually around 8 or 8:30 am and again around 4 in the summer so we could possibly start a tour in the morning around 9:00 or early afternoon.

MORE INFO
Checkin is at 3 pm and checkout is at 11 am but these times are flexible depending on our bookings. We will try to work with you.

My work: Farmer; fiber artist
My husband Rodney and I run a fiber and lavender farm complete with alpacas, sheep, Angora goats, and llamas on a small agritourism farm in North Carolina. This is my second job after I retired from teaching. We also host a farm stay through AirB&B.
