The space
Casita Veranera — Between the jungle and the Pacific
Welcome to Casita Veranera, an intimate haven for two tucked deep in the heart of Shelter from the Storm, a private and secure 12,000 m² tropical estate, ideally located between Dominical and Uvita.
Your private terrace, not overlooked, opens directly onto the Pacific. Here, the days begin facing the ocean, to the sounds of the jungle and sometimes howler monkeys, and continue between beaches, the pool, the spa, and a private waterfall.
Your casita
Veranera has a queen size bed with a semi-firm mattress, air conditioning, ceiling fan, blackout curtains, safe, storage, USB sockets and TV with Claro and access to your own streaming platforms.
The bathroom offers a shower with hot water and good pressure, a hairdryer, bath and pool towels, and welcome products.
And because vacations are meant to be enjoyed: housekeeping with bed making is provided every day, at no extra cost. For extended stays, bed linen is changed weekly.
The fully equipped kitchen includes electric stove, fridge with small freezer, microwave, filter coffee maker, kettle, toaster, blender, dishes and kitchen essentials. Local coffee, tea, sugar, oil, vinegar, salt and pepper are available. The water from the tap is potable.
On your semi-covered terrace: dining area for two and lounge chairs facing the Pacific, in a completely private environment.
Spa, pool & areas of the domaine
A few steps from the casita, a 6-seater heated spa accessible 24 hours a day is installed on its own platform in the middle of the vegetation. It is shared only with a second casita when it is occupied.
You also have free use of the estate's common areas: a swimming pool of approximately 10 × 4 m, a panoramic Rancho with a large kitchen, barbecue, huge island, dining areas, TV and foosball, an exotic garden with ponds and small bridges, as well as an observation tower offering a panorama of more than 180° over the Pacific, the Whale's Tail, Uvita Bay, Isla del Caño, and the coast of the Osa Peninsula.
A telescope allows you to observe the ocean and, in season, perhaps spot whales.
Your private waterfall in the heart of the jungle
From the estate, a landscaped staircase descends through the forest to the valley. After a few minutes along the waterway, you will discover a natural waterfall on three levels, surrounded by jungle, where you can cool off.
The property is also home to particularly rich wildlife: howler and capuchin monkeys, toucans, hummingbirds, and oropendolas are regularly present. If you're lucky, you might also see sloths, coatis, agoutis, or anteaters.
Connected… even in the heart of the jungle
Veranera has fiber optics up to 200 Mbps, with Wi-Fi available on almost the entire property and Starlink as a backup system.
The estate also has a dual water supply — public network and well — as well as a generator in the event of a prolonged power outage.
A free shared laundry room with a washing machine, dryer, detergent, and ironing equipment is at your disposal.

Upon reservation and for an additional fee, we can arrange homemade brunch, on-site massages, a private chef, shopping before your arrival, excursions and activities.
We can also prepare special touches for a honeymoon or anniversary, or organize a proposal, renewal of vows, or other personalized private event.
Between Dominical and Uvita
You are about 4 minutes from Playa Hermosa, 5–7 minutes from Dominicalito and the beaches of Dominical, 7 minutes from downtown Dominical, and 10 minutes from Uvita.
Marino Ballena National Park is about 12–13 minutes away, the Nauyaca waterfalls are 30–35 minutes away, and Manuel Antonio is about 45 minutes away. Restaurants, supermarkets and shops are accessible within minutes.
How do I get there
From Juan Santamaría International Airport in San José, you can reach the area by rental car or book a shuttle service.
It is also possible to take a domestic flight between San José and Quepos, then continue to the property by rental car or Uber/taxi. Depending on our availability and by prior arrangement, a transfer from Quepos can sometimes be arranged.
A 4x4 is recommended for comfortable access to the property and to enjoy the area more freely.
Parking is free inside the property, secured by a gate with a digital code.
Pets are allowed upon prior request, and baby equipment can be provided free of charge upon request.
