Hut vacation rentals in River Severn

Stayed here for 2 nights for the bank holiday weekend. The area was beautiful, the Lodge itself was modern and very clean. It made for a perfect get away with the private Hot Tub and cosy fireplace over looking the scenic view. Lodge was very private and secure. They provided firewood and blankets for the nights we were there and hosted a small shop for immediate conveniences such as drinks and snacks. Their information booklet had detailed lists of local shops, restaurants and nearby walks which was amazing, it saved us a lot of effort in a new area trying to find things to explore. We didn't get chance to check out the farm they had with several animals but were lucky enough to have the farm house cats come visit us each morning which we loved!

Wow! What a wonderful stay me and my little family had. So beautiful, so peaceful, so gorgeous, so homely. Would defo recommend!!!!!! If you like rural stays this one is for you. Amazing! Thank you Tanya for giving us this amazing opportunity to make memories that we will treasure forever. ❤️

So peaceful and cosy. Directions were very easy to follow and the views all around are absolutely stunning. The outdoor space has been well thought out, with a table to eat in the sun, as well as a fire pit and bbq which we made good use of. The hot tub is immaculate and very private. Inside space has been really well mapped out with so much usable space and handy features, hooks everywhere. Kitchen had everything you could need. Thank you for the little touches like Welsh cakes, eggs, milk and bread. List of walks was very helpful too. We loved our stay, thank you!

We had the absolute best time in Rosalind's Shepperd hut! The hut was so cosy and cute, it was the perfect place to disconnect from reality and have the most relaxing weekend. The view over the valley was so peaceful and beautiful, we could have lie in bed all day looking through the window! Rosalind was very friendly and super helpful, she gave a map of the surroundings, indicates us the way to walk to the local pub, provide some logs to have a little fire outside and even offer a blanket so we could walk up the hill and sit to watch the sunset. One of the best places I've stayed and will definitely consider staying there again!

This was our second visit, such a beautiful location and the set up is perfect. The upgrades to the Shepard's hut have made it even more perfect. thanks guys, we will be back.

Lovely place to spend a few days in peace in quiet. The hot tub was amazing and the hosts are very friendly. The hut is in close proximity to the Wye Valley, which is a great place to explore.

What a truly lovely space to stay in for a peaceful & relaxing time. Jessica has thought of everything to enhance the stay - milk & prosecco in the fridge; granola, cake and chocolate treats; tea, coffee & hot chocolate; robes & slippers for getting to the hot tub; even a fluffy hot water bottle for colder nights! The bed was extremely comfortable and breakfast on the decking over looking the hot tub and fields beyond was lovely. We will definitely be back - thanks Jessica for your amazing attention to detail :-)

Absolutely fantastic location. Our first stay in a shepherds hut and the bar was set high! Having the hot tub made it extra special and the views were beautiful. Casey was warm and welcoming and happy to give tips for places to eat. Would definitely stay again. 5* review and happy customers. Thank you.

Lovely hut in a beautiful setting, we stayed after visiting the nearby Hay Festival. Tom was very helpful with clear instructions to find the location. We had some lambs visit us in the morning to keep the grass short.

We spent a couple of nights with our dog at Meadow view shepherds hut after a busy week and it was just what we needed, beautiful and peaceful. The hut had everything we could want - including tea/coffee/marshmallows as well as dog bowls and treats! Our dog loved going in the field we over looked

This place is STUNNING. We stayed for 2 nights and it was the perfect switch off. The hut itself has everything you need and is surrounded by the most gorgeous views and wildlife. Well worth a visit and we’re already looking at when we can return! Plus the dog loved it with it being completely fenced off so he could roam freely. Thanks again Manon!

Fantastic stay at this cosy little hut. Rowena left milk and jams for me. The view was incredible and the hut had everything needed - including a hairdryer! The bed was comfortable, warm at night and the shower had great pressure too! On the final day the cutest little cat came to visit me too! Beautiful property in a brilliant location. Thank you!!

Our stay at the Shepherds hut exceeded our expectations. It was beautiful inside and out, spotlessly clean, tasteful decor and had everything we needed for a relaxed and pleasant stay. The view was stunning and Lacock is 15 min walk away. We were fortunate with the weather but it would still be great in the cold or rain. Our host Dilly was lovely and would definitely stay there again. Highly recommend.

We had a lovely stay in the shepherd's hut, very relaxing. Clive made us feel very welcome. Good location with plenty of places to visit around mickleton.

Chris was a great Host friendly and told us all we needed to make our stay really special. His lovely shepherds hut is situated perfectly for walks up and down the Gorge and behind it leads straight into a lovely wood. we saw Sheep and goats and loved going in the caves and surrounding walks. It was so cosy with the log burning fire and we enjoyed playing the games there and cooking in the kitchen area. It had all we needed to make our stay private and relaxing. Also loved the view point Chris has made and the secret door to the woods. we would definately recommend and come back again. Thankyou Sapphire and Michael

We really loved the shepherd's hut - we felt so cosy, with our wonderful view. Natalie was kind and supplied a pint and a G&T to go with the view!

Popes hill was such a lovely stay , took my partner for his birthday along with our dog. Absolutely stunning views , lots of nice places to eat in the local area with a short drive , loads of lovely walks on your doorstep. Surrounding by wildlife and views. Bens place was lovely , spotless , a lovely hot tub, good size shower and bathroom. Perfect little stay. Highly recommended.

I actually don’t know how to review this place as is was beyond expectations. Rebecca was fabulous as was everything about it. No wifi ( as stated which we were happy with ) but no issues getting 5g on 02 and vodaphone. Didn’t find a walkable pub nor taxi service - but this is more fyi for other visitors rather than a criticism as the description never said there was ( although google did say you could get taxis). Everything you need is in the little hut- it is beautiful, clean and peaceful. I’d go back for longer. We had a really nice stay. If I could give 10 Stars I would!

Arrived at 3pm check in, the road down there is a bit hectic but fine if you take it easy, my Fiesta managed it just fine. The Hut on the Hill was exactly like the pictures, inviting and cosy, and Mandy and David had gone out of their way to make personal touches such as fresh eggs, fresh bread and beautifully creamy fresh milk. Usually when Ben and I have gone to other locations with hot tubs the towels have been small and limited, but Mandy and David ensured there were large towels, and spare, and sliders too! Plus some beautiful towel dressing gowns. Mandy was very responsive and reassuring when I wanted to ensure we were parked in the right spot. The hot tub was already warm and easy to navigate, and we slept so well in the bed! The dog too enjoyed his freedom which was a major highlight for us. You can order food and wine from the hosts and if we'd stayed longer, we definitely would of. This place was beyond our expectations and would love to come back.

Absolutely loved our stay, had our 3 dogs with us, and we all had an amazing, relaxing time! Really lovely and friendly hosts, who have an amazing well balanced dog, our 3 boys had a great time too! Stunning views, that look far better in person than any photos, peaceful too! Fully recommend for a chill getaway! Will definitely be coming back next year!

We had the most lovely peaceful two nights. Colin was a great host who showed us everything we need and gave us some great tips for the local area (recommend the pottery cafe for brunch!). The Shepard hut is beautifully done, with a really comfy bed. We loved all the different areas, especially the fire pit with the sofa. The area is gorgeous and we were lucky enough to have sunshine which made it even more beautiful. Thank you Colin and Kimberly for a lovely stay!
