Waterfront vacation rentals in Rethimnon

There will not be enough superlatives to describe this place. The location overlooking the Venetian Harbor was amazing. The house is historic, beautiful and has all the amenities you will want. You literally won't believe the large rooftop deck with crazy views. The house had lots of interesting things to read, lots of space for a large group and it was stocked with maps and guidebooks. The neighborhood is completely safe. The in-person welcome from the hosts contained some really thoughtful surprises (you will need to find out yourself - I won't ruin the surprise welcome.). Yorgos Wohnung hat sehr gute Lage: liegt nah 5-7 min zum Strand, sehr nahr zum Backarei, mehrere Supermarkt, gute Taverna. Das ist nicht direkt in Retimno, jedoch sehr gut in 10 min mit Bus bzw.erreichbar oder 2 km bei schöne Spaziergang am Promenade entlang der Strandpromenade mit viele Restaurant. Die Wohnung selbst ist geräumig und gut ausgestattet( Grossere Kühlschrank, Herd, Spüll- und Waschmaschine,Moskitonetz in jeder Fenster, Klimaanlage). Dazu gehört auch Balkon wo man Abends sitzen könnte und kleine Pool mit viele Wasserspielzeuge. Yourgos und seine Tochter sind auch sehr nette Leute.Yourgos antwortet immer schnell, gibt gute Tipps und sogar zum Abschluss hat uns traditionelle griechische Sweets geschenkt. Vielen Dank. Wir können Yougos Appartament weiter empfehlen.

Elizabeth and Lily's place is absolutely gorgeous. The house was impecable. Super clean. Very spacious, lots of bright light, and also has automatic dark shades. Towels were super comfortable, you get both shower and beach towels. We had a welcome basket with bread, jam, honey, there was fruit and water bottles in the fridge. Super attentive host. The house is probably the best one in the complex. Excellent view of the ocean, you can see some magnificent sunsets right from the balcony. There is also a terrace where you can have breakfast/coffee. The pool is super close, clean and gated with a keypad. Very secure area. Absolutely loved it. I wish I was there still. Will definitely go back and highly recommend it to everyone!

This is a very special apartment that has a view like no other. It’s the perfect home base to explore Chania and the region. I especially enjoyed cooking in the well equipped kitchen. There are many green grocers and farmer’s markets to procure the best Cretan produce and enjoying your meals with that incredible view. The apartment is comfortable, quiet, and John is a superb host. He is not only thoughtful, he’s very proactive. The best experience I’ve had with Airbnb. He should be called a super, super host!

Located right in the heart of old town Chania, can easily people watch and take in the sights and sounds of old town without having to leave your place. Perfect sunset views. Note: best place to reliably park for free overnight is “Chania town car park”, about a 10 min walk. May be easier in the off season; and harder in the peak. Overall the location can’t be beat.

Pobyt był wspaniały. Mieszkan ie z klimatem, urocze i nastrojowe, w sercu starego miasta. Każdy znalazł tam swoje miejsce. Cudowny taras z widokiem na zatokę i widokiem na wenecki port. wieczorami idealny do obswrrwowania życia miasta. zdarzają się koncerty w gratisie ;). kuchnia swietnie wyposarzona. Nina pomocna we wszystkim.

Very nice home and location very nice, walkable to harbor and old town which was very nice! Lots of restaurants! The house was very clean and comfortable and really pretty view of the sea from living room area. The layout was very nice as bathroom on floor of living are and second floor with bedrooms with full bath very nice, lots of room!! My only complaint was, in my opinion, the portrait over master bed was very provocative and also, in my opinion, offensive being a female. Don’t understand why there must be naked pictures of female. This really offended me and can’t understand why??? Laura Rehm

The apartment is fantastic - very modern, spacious, good kitchen and bathroom. The pool is a great bonus too. It is a short drive to the city center (10 minutes) - a rental car is required (easy parking around the the apartment too)

Magnifique ! Foncez ! Le logement: Wahou ! Propre, cosy, confort. Une magnifique terrasse avec un jacuzzi privé dont nous avons beaucoup profité et une vue sur le petit port à couper le souffle. Une cuisine avec tout ce qu'il faut (frigidaire, vaisselle, couverts, etc ...). 2 belles salles de bains avec tout ce qu'il faut (serviettes, produits, etc ...). Chambres confortables. Un salon avec Netflix, pour ceux qui le soir ont envie de se poser un peu. L'accueil: Wahou ! Harry nous attendait avec le sourire, malgré notre retard (avion, location de voiture, les aléas des voyages🤣). Sur place un tas de choses pour bien commencer nos vacances : fruits, charcuterie, pain, eaux, coca et de quoi déjeuner (confitures, miel ,café ..) Le gros+: Merci à Harry pour ses bons conseils (lieux à visiter, restaurants, tavernes, plages ...) et sa constante disponibilité et rapidité à répondre pendant notre séjour. L'endroit: Très joli port, un peu bruyant et animé le soir. Bon départ pour sillonner.

Wir haben uns in diesem Haus acht Tage lang sehr wohl gefühlt, auf der gut verschatteten Terrasse eine erholsame Zeit bis tief in die Nacht hinein verbracht. Ioanna hat uns mit verschiedenen Köstlichkeiten überrascht, liebevoll und immer erreichbar. Gerne kommen wir wieder, um diese schöne Aussicht zu genießen.

Stunning view of the sea AND the mountains! Super clean place in a quiet corner. I especially enjoyed visits from a beautiful, friendly and adventurous tuxedo black kitty I call TopCat during my week-long stay. The covered patio is just absolutely amazing - the hammock beckons if you are craving chill time. (:

I truly recommend staying with Niko in this beautiful villa! The house is very modern, the outside area spectacular and private and the communication with Niko was clear and helpful. The accommodation works for both families and friends. The house is located around 30mins from Chania which is easy to get to by car. Can only recommend renting this villa.

Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit in der Unterkunft. Die Wohnung war sehr gut ausgestattet, in der Küche war alles was man zum kochen benötigt, es gab sogar Kinderspielsachen und Equipment für den Strand. Alles war total sauber und der Kontakt zu Efi war sehr freundlich. Den Garten haben wir sehr gerne genutzt und auch den Grill dort. Vielen Dank, für die schöne Zeit, die wir dort verbringen konnten.

Helppo tutustua vanhaan kaupunkiin. Sijainti rauhallisemmalla puolella Venetsialaista satamaa. Palvelut lähellä. Liian pehmeä sänky minun mielestäni, mutta sehän onkin vain makuasioita.

Amazing home, literally about 20 steps away from the beach. The home was spotless and beautifully decorated. It looks brand new! The host had fresh fruits, delicious cakes, pastries, still and sparkling water in the fridge, bags of ice in the freezer and a bottle of champagne on ice waiting for us at check in, which was an amazing experience! Best Airbnb host ever! The villa had a private rooftop deck that was the ultimate place to relax and unwind, while offering an amazing view of the Sea of Crete. The rooftop also has a very big jacuzzi, dinning table, seating and loungers. I forgot to mention that the neighborhood has restaurants and shopping in both directions. You will definitely be happy with this place.

This is absolutely our favorite Airbnb that we've ever stayed in (and we've stayed in a lot). The place is adorable. Katerina is very responsive and lives right by the apartment. The view is wonderful, and both the living room and twin bedroom have doors that open onto that view. It has everything you need and more, with Katerina providing treats and even cereal and milk for that first morning. The air conditioning worked well, but there is also a lovely breeze from the sea. There are tons of restaurants and cafes just below the apartment as well as with 5 and 10 minutes walk in Old Town. It would be comfortable for a couple and a third person (such as a child) or two people, each with their own room. The washing machine was great to have, and you can dry clothes on the lines off the balcony. We did not want to leave.

The apartment, its location, and the hosts’ hospitality are simply impressive. The room had everything we needed - even sun hats, beach towels, and slippers. A separate crib was provided for our son. The apartment also came with a juicer, toaster, coffee machine, coffee, tea, and plenty of food. However, the place is better suited for couples without small children. Our 1-year-4-month-old son constantly wanted to go up and down the stairs (which isn’t very safe) or out onto the balcony. Still, he managed to enjoy the beautiful views and woke up saying ‘wooow.’ 😁 The water at the beach is perfect for small children and peaceful relaxation. We had a wonderful vacation! Nearby, we discovered a lovely restaurant called Halepa with incredible sunsets and delicious seafood - highly recommended.

Wir waren vom 6.10.-12.10. bei Nikos in der Unterkunft. Der Meerblick war toll. Abends haben wir das Meer rauschen gehört. 2 Minuten zum Strand. Das Wasser war klar und angenehme 25°. Am Strand waren nicht viele Leute, eine angenehme Atmosphäre. Die Insel bietet viele Sehenswürdigkeiten, die Altstadt von Rethymno ist allein eine Reise wert. Die Preise sind ok. Die Griechen sind nett und gastfreundlich. Nikos war zur Stelle, wenn wir ein Anliegen hatten. Sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Diese Unterkunft können wir empfehlen👍. Fantastinen paikka! Kaunis asunto upealla sijainnilla. Viiden hengen perhe majoittui täällä mukavasti, hyvät sängyt. Upea olohuone ja huikea parveke/terassi esteettömällä merinäkymällä 😍 Oli kiva käydä aamu-uinnilla, kun ranta oli kadun toisella puolella! Noin 15 minuutin kävely vanhaan kaupunkiin, paikkaan mihin ihastuimme täysin! Autopaikka kätevästi pihassa ja ruokakauppa ihan vieressä. Stratoksen kanssa kaikki sujui hyvin, erittäin mukava ja reagoi nopeasti kysymyksiin ja tarpeisiin. Olimme todella tyytyväisiä että valitsimme juuri tämän asunnon upeasta Rethymnosta!

I‘m more that happy that we decided to stay at Dimitri‘s place. He ish very kind and helped us right away, if we had any questions. The location is peaceful and has a great view. The beach is not far away and the size of the apartment is just perfekt for a single person or a couple. I will definitely visit again.

Die Wohnung liegt perfekt, um die Insel zu erkunden, man ist im Zentrum der Insel, sofort auf der Autobahn (Empfehlung: vor Einzug unbedingt rückwärts am Berg anfahren üben!!) und trotzdem ist die Wohnung sehr ruhig und hat einen tollen Blick aufs Meer. Vor allem der kleine Balkon direkt über dem Meer hat es uns angetan, auch wenn er im Sommer vielleicht etwas zu heiß/zu wenig schattig sein könnte. Hier schließt man auch schnell Freundschaft mit den 4 Katzen, die gelegentlich auch den Nachbarshund zur Weißglut treiben. Wer Angst vor Katzen hat, sollte sich bei diesen anhänglichen Exemplaren lieber eine andere Wohnung suchen, Katzenfreunde werden es lieben. Mariannas Mutter ist eine gute Seele, bringt Eier der hauseigenen Hühner sowie frisches Obst und Gemüse vorbei. Alles in allem für uns der perfekte Ort, um die Erkundung der Insel mit Erholung zu kombinieren.
