Land Based Fishing for all ages
Land based fishing is my passion and Flat Water Fishing wants to give everyone a great fishing experience. I have been fishing the Gold Coast, Tweed Heads and Brisbane estuaries, rivers, canals, beaches, and wharf's for more than 18 years and want you to enjoy the thrill of catching fish as well. I know that boats are not for everyone so this is a great alternative to being on the water. I encourage catch and release fishing but am fine with those taking home all legal sized catches.
I will tutor learners how to cast a net, or spool a reel, or thread reel through a rod and attach the hooks and sinkers.
Because the fishing spots vary from day to day Flat Water Fishing will post where the fishing experience will be the night before.
I offer two options daily:
7am to 11am for the early risers and
1pm to 5pm for a nice afternoon experience.
You won't be disappointed so bring a smile and an awesome attitude with you and let's go fishing.
Other things to note
Flat Water Fishing is legally registered
It has an Australian Business Number "ABN"
Tax receipts are available
I have a valid Queensland "Positive Notice Blue Card" to work with children and “Yellow Card” to work with the disabled.
Stand Up Paddle Board and Snorkel
Goldsborough Valley Tour- Half Day Tour

Rainforest and Wildlife Night Tour
Your Night Time adventure starts with pickup from your Airbnb accommodation and takes you off on an adventure to find wildlife in it’s natural habitat. Most of it doesn’t come out until after sunset so we stay out after dark to see it!
We start around 1:30pm so you can have a relaxed morning and you will be back around 9:30-10:00pm. Afternoon tea and dinner will be provided so no need to worry about food.
We get to see some very rare animals, like Platypus and Tree Kangaroos, and the region we visit on the Atherton Tablelands is a beautiful place. It is close to Cairns so drive times are short. We visit several areas too so you get to see different places.
We do spend a few hours in the afternoon to see the Rainforest but it really comes to life when the sun goes down.
Being in the forest at night is an experience you will never forget. It is magical to hear and feel and see what it is like to be in there after dark. I use special lights so we can all see what’s around us and provide you with binoculars so you can get a really good view of the animals.
You will come away from this with a whole new understanding of Australia’s special environments and it’s wonderful wildlife.
Other things to note
Bugs and mosquitos are not usually a problem. If the weather is wet I provide umbrellas. There is no need for you to have flashlights or torches. We are not hiking so just comfortable shoes are needed

Noosa Kayak Tour, an award-winning nature adventure
2022 Winner of Australia's Most Magical Experience:
We meet 5 mins from Noosa Junction and away from the crowds and hustle of Noosa. You'll suddenly find yourself in nature at the edge of Lake Weyba. This lake is connected all the way through to the Everglades so we experience the same flora and fauna all around us.
Once we've got you comfortable in the kayaks, we'll launch and start our adventure onto the lake to then travel down some creeks. As you paddle, look to the skies for chances to see the local Sea Eagles, Ospreys & Kites climbing the thermals whilst they hunt for their lunch.
As the only tour group within this section of Noosa's waterways we always get the start to ourselves and can enjoy some hidden areas to savour the tranquility of being on calm water. We keep your enjoyment high by responding to the prevailing weather and paddling to protected areas away from strong winds. We'll play games, quizzes and spend time trying to spot all the local marine life including Estuary Stingrays and Leopard Whiprays.
It's a calming trip as you listen to nature and learn a little about the Gubbi Gubbi, natural ecosystems and Noosa's role in caring for this region.
The whole experience lasts around 2hours.
You'll have a lovely time but expect to get wet and be in the sun for a few hours. We recommend wearing your beach attire (sun safe & water safe)
Ride the Outback at Ironbark House
Ride the Outback, departing from Ironbark House Dimbulah, begins with my guests meeting myself and my five horses Angel, China, Misfit, Saxon and Echo, which have been used for a variety of equestrian events including dressage, jumping, horse-sports, barrel racing and cattle work, but are also fantastic out on tracks as mobile wildlife and nature viewing vehicles!

We will leave the stables and head out through forested grazing country hoping to check out some of our wildlife including our colony of Mareeba Rock wallabies, kangaroos, Wallaroos, wedge-tailed eagles, dingoes, many water-birds around one of our 6 dams and of course there will be cattle as this is a working property.
Other things to note:
Please contact me before booking the ride as there may be some restrictions as to whether the experience will be suitable for you. This activity can also be weather dependent. There is a weight limit for riders of 90kgs.
