After a few days in Delhi, we were looking for a quiet place in nature to relax. This beautiful cottage at the Yumuna River was just a perfect match. The food was amazing and the staff was very attentive and made us feel at home. From our room we enjoyed the stunning view over the river, surrounded by fields and trees. We enjoyed our stay a lot and highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for an extraordinary place to escape from the city and wants to spent some quiet days in nature, reading and enjoying the good life.

Luxurious Homestay on Ganga Riverbank, Uttarkashi

AmieRating, 5 stars26 months ago
This homestay is amazing! The room had everything we needed and an incredible view as well. We sat on the balcony and watched the river go by. There is also a place very near where you can bathe in the Ganga. It was a deeply relaxing experience. But what makes this home stay shine is Shiv and his family. We immediately felt at home. Shiv’s wife and daughter are wonderful cooks. We loved every meal. Shiv’s son took us around Uttarkashi Introducing us to the many beautiful temples within the town. It was magical. Shiv helped us organize taxi’s and anything else we needed. Truly a gem!!!

Tent in Janki Chatti

himalayan swiss cottage

AnantRating, 5 stars24 months ago
The property is a collection of Swiss Tents in Jan Ki Chatti which is the place from where the Yamunotri trek starts. The location is perfect as you get to see the Yamunotri peaks and glaciers from which Maa Yamuna starts right in front of you. The place is also isolated from the hustle and bustle of the main road. This was my first time staying in the Swiss Tents so I was little apprehensive initially. But after checking in I was really surprised. These tents are super big and feels like a normal room . They also have attached toilets with geyser. The place has a kitchen in which they make delicious food on demand. Nishant is a great host who takes good care of his guests. He and his friend Mr Rawat suggested lots of good places nearby to me to explore. I really enjoyed my stay here.

Oakwood Homestay

I had a great time at Oakwood Homestay. Suman, the host, is super gracious. The place has an amazing view and is prefect for a family or a bigger group. We were served simple food which we loved. There are multiple treks nearby which you will thoroughly enjoy.
An indoor staircase is framed by polished green stone flooring, leading downward. Two potted plants sit in white pots along the wall, adding a touch of greenery. The wooden paneling provides a warm accent to the space.

Ransaar Valley Homestay

In Badiara this is a heaven, comfortable stay, top notch linen, furniture and whole property is very neatly maintained. Sachin is the host however his parents are real host. it's a home away from home. The whole property is open to enjoy. Kitchen is fully loaded and free to use anytime. Local restaurant cooks awesome food and is prepared on order so it's guaranteed fresh. loads of places to visit, and u will live in the midst of Apple orchards. Uncle and Aunty helped us become familiar with surroundings, they negotiated us the taxi and instructed the driver to take us all the places such as Chanshal pass, Kharshali village - ancient Durga Mata temple and tons of local beautiful places. since we were here for a day we explored a little bit of local area and above mentioned places but there are tons of places here to visit like Chandranahan lake is one of the famous treks that wud take six to seven days. To be Frank i was not expecting this kind of high quality hospitality. Abso must!!!
A spacious living area is highlighted by a wooden ceiling and warm-toned flooring. Large windows provide scenic views, while comfortable seating arrangements and traditional rugs enhance the inviting atmosphere. Natural light fills the room, promoting a sense of openness and tranquility.

Lovely & Clean Rooms to Refresh.

SunidhiRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Okay, so Gomukh Hotel in Uttarkashi? Pretty solid choice! The room was spacious and had all the basics—kitchenette, electric kettle, and hot water (thank goodness, because winter here is no joke). Only thing? It felt a tad dusty, like it hadn’t seen guests in a while. Nothing major, but a little sprucing up would’ve been nice. Location-wise, couldn’t ask for better—super close to the ghat and the bus/taxi stand. No long walks, no stress. Now, let me tell you about Akash, the co-host. Not only did he help us lug our bags up two flights of stairs (yep, no lift—pack light, folks!), but he also moved us to a quieter room when we mentioned some construction noise. His kindness made the stay so much better. Small hiccups aside, it’s a great spot for the price, and Akash’s hospitality is next level. Would we stay again? Absolutely! 😊
