“Rob and Necerita were exceptional hosts and they had such a lovely place. My friends and I really enjoyed our stay—we woke up to the most breathtaking views of the sea, we were surrounded by the lush greenery of the forest, and the place was so spacious, with lots of fresh air and natural light. It's not too far from the beach, we opted to take a tricycle everyday to get to it... it's only around 5-7 minutes away by tricycle, and it's very accessible as well. Rob was kind enough to arrange a pick-up service when we first arrived at the port in Puerto Galera, which made it very easy for us to find the place. He gave us a very warm and friendly greeting as he toured us around the place as soon as we arrived. His wife, Necerita was also a very gracious host, as she made sure we had everything we needed and we were comfortable and felt at home. I would definitely recommend you to stay at their place whenever you find yourself visiting Puerto Galera!”
Udallans beachhouse is located in Brgy. Udalo, Abra de Ilog, Occ. Mindoro. Where you can find a peaceful ambiance which is good for you to relax. We have a white sand and a very clean beach front. We have also a little bar and resto, where you can enjoy your food and drinks. There is no ATM in the resort, Abra de Ilog and Batangas Port. the nearest ATM is in Mamburou, Puerto Galerra or Batangas City. If you want the aircon, you have to pay 150 PHP for one day and this in the ressort.
“We were warmly received by Johannes and his family as well as by the locals. We stayed 6 days with Johannes and we really enjoyed it and really enjoyed the time. You can see the sea directly from the bed and after a few meters you are already in the water. A dreamlike sight. The locals are very open-minded, nice and helpful people and we were even invited to a children's birthday party and there was a big party with a good mood and good mood music. It was a great experience to see how the locals celebrate birthdays. In front of the accommodation they cooked us delicious food and the price-performance ratio was just great! The first hike to the indigenous people impressed us very much and it was amazing to see how they live in the wild. On the second hike Johannes showed us a fantastic panoramic view of the mountains and the sea. One came in for a short time. Johannes and his family as well as the locals were always nice and helpful and were always open to questions. We would go back anytime in this quiet (hardly tourist) great place. Thank you for the unforgettable days! Warm wishes Miri & Aaron”
The beach house is located between Puerto Galera and Abra de Ilog. The village is called Udalo.
“A secluded beach by a small beach town, a nearly private beach with smooth sands and calm waves. That's just the beginning of it. The beach house we stayed in was beautiful. A simple 1 bedroom cottage, with a balcony facing the beach (which is only a few steps away). There is no airconditioner there but there is an electric fan. The kitchen is separate in a small bahay kubo just a few steps away where you can buy various foods, drinks, and such. Nearby are 2 restaurants, and a souvenier shop, ask Chanda or Noli and they will show you where they are. Both restaurants have reasonably priced food and are delicious. The sunrises, sunsets, and views are gorgeous and those along can be well worth the trip. There are various activities on the island where Chanda and Noli will be happy to help you with. *Tips* -There is minimal internet access but calls and texts can still be made -When it is a new moon or when the moon is not too bright during the night, go into the water and make waves with your arms, it'll be a pleasant surprise. -Bring insect repellent, sunscreen and a suitable amount of beach clothes Going to the location may be a chore, but communication with Jhan and Chanda is key to making it smoothly I recommend traveling as early as you can so that you can arrive in the the noon time or mid afternoon. I recommend this place for anyone trying to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and looking for an island paradise to relax and enjoy. To me, this place is the epitome of a tropical island retreat. The vacation to this place was something I will never ever forget and easily a top highlight of my Philippines trip.”
