14th Century Medieval Longhouse

Our cottage is the original dwelling in a beautiful Grade II, 14th century Medieval Longhouse. We live in the 'byre' end of the building - originally the 'cow shed' and are on hand for any help or advice - or perhaps a glass of wine... Note - Doorway beams are low and staircase is characteristically steep. Burrington is a beautiful and very quiet small hamlet 2.5 miles from Leintwardine (and the nearest shop and pubs), 5 miles from Ludlow and just a couple of miles from Mortimer Forest.

A short walk away, the village of Whitney-on-Wye offers a riverside pub, canoeing and gourmet shop/café. Walking paths weave through the property and are easily accessible. In addition to numerous area activities including hiking and canoeing, the estate offers salmon fishing beats which are available for guests.
