Vacation rentals with beach access in Port-des-Barques

We spent a very enjoyable week in Valerie's apartment. She and her husband welcomed us at the door even though our flight was delayed. A gift of brioche , orange juice and a locally produced aperitif was a nice touch. The apartment is spotlessly clean and has everything one could possibly need. it was really quiet in spite of being on the Quai which is a hive of activity. She replied to any communication within minutes. Highly recommended.

We had a pleasant stay at Émilie and Jean-Marc's. They were welcoming and available. The accommodation is as described, very well furnished, and very clean. The outdoor area is simply splendid, a perfect setting for relaxation, ideal for recharging your batteries. Special mention to the pool, which is a significant asset. We'll be happy to go back!

The apartment is great overall for family of 4. 1 large, but shared bathroom. No separate WC. Some age on the furnishings. Well laid out and had all housewares needed. Decor is curated. Excellent location. Friendly and accommodating host. (AC would have made this an even better stay. )

Breathtaking view of the sea and a beautiful old tree at sunrise and sunset. Very clean and functional accommodation. Easy check-in and checkout thanks to the lockbox and communication with Clémence. We would recommend it in a second.

What a wonderful place in the best part of Île de Ré. We had such excellent hosts, Anne Kathrine and Remy. Special mention to Maya, their beautiful and friendly dog, her daily greetings were so welcoming. We leave with lovely memories of a great revisit to the island after 32 years! The apartment is very well located, at the foot of the Tour de la Lanterne, a stone's throw from the old port and 5 minutes from the beach of La Concurrence. The place is ideal for walking, cycling (self-service station nearby) and for taking the bus boats to the aquarium or the Port des Minimes. It takes about 20 minutes to walk to the train station.

Beautiful house, very bright, in a beautiful environment facing Le Platin beach. We spent the Easter weekend there and enjoyed the view and the customs trail

Had a lovely stay at Géraldine’s. Comfortable and clean home with everything you could need. Location quiet but within short walking distance to supermarket and pretty square with a boulangerie and couple of restaurants as well as the tourist office. Having the bikes to use as and when was a huge bonus - we enjoyed our cycle to other villages. In the evening hearing the swifts swooping by whilst sitting in the courtyard was very relaxing. No hesitation to recommend.

We had a wonderful time at this beautifully designed and well equipped villa, which entirely met our expectations- ripe apricots on the tree and our own Boule court were delightful extras. It is ideally situated within walking distance of both the beach and the town centre. Communication before and during our stay was prompt and helpful. We would recommend to others without hesitation and hope that we will visit again before too long

This accommodation is very practical with all its amenities (washing machine, oven, barbecue, umbrella, table and garden furniture, etc.), 3 bedrooms and large garden/terrace/courtyard. Ideally located a few minutes' walk from Ile Madame, facing the sea. We loved our great weekend in Port-des-Barques at Thimothée's.

Corinne is such an amazing and responsive host, and her place was exactly what we needed. Would 100% recommend. A bit about the apartment: it looked exactly as described, comfortable and clean. Its location probably can’t be better since it was right by the pier of Saint-Martin, a very charming and calm village. Now, the real stars were the hosts. Corinne herself was very responsive and proactive and even though she wasn’t there at check-in, she arranged for a family member to not only be there and greet us, but also drive us from the La Rochelle train station to the island. She also called the bus company to confirm our bus time upon departure and was kind enough to allow a later check in so we had a place to leave our belongings while waiting for our train. Overall, amazing hosts. Thank you!

We had a pleasant stay at Marielle and Jean Claude's very well located apartment. We were able to enjoy their beautiful terrace. The residence is very well maintained and very quiet. Their tips for visiting the area were very helpful. Thank you both for the little treats too. We highly recommend it.

Amazing apartment on the port front in La Rochelle, with great views and in the centre of this very walkable town. Lots of great cafes and restaurants nearby. Apartment was clean and tidy with everything you need, including for travelling with a baby. Highly recommended!

Very nice stay in Sylvie's apartment, ideal location close to the old port, aquarium and many restaurants, the apartment is large and very clean, the parking is a big asset, we were able to enjoy La Rochelle on foot, the Hotel for the delivery of the keys is perfect, and Sylvie is very considerate, call before arrival, tips, etc. Great value for money in La Rochelle. We'll be back at Sylvie's!

Apartment in a very good location. The layout and decor are great. Everything is done to make you feel good. It was very clean and very well-equipped. Beautiful view of the estuary with a balcony for aperitifs and outdoor dining. Excellent place and if we have to rent again in Royan we will go back.

Mathieu greeted us in person. He was very nice and his explanations were very clear. The accommodation is very nice and especially extremely well located, in the heart of La Rochelle, in the pedestrian streets. In short, everything was perfect.
