Comfortable home in beautiful surroundings. Really responsive and friendly host. En-suite bathrooms to each bedroom and the beds were super comfy. Great parking and charger for electric car - lovely walks nearby along the river and the horse in the field behind had just given birth to a foal so our daughter was mesmerised. Oh I forgot the hot tub - that was great too!

Genuinely amazing little place to stay, in a beautiful part of the world. We were even greeted with a lemon drizzle cake :) 10/10 would recommend!

Beautiful location for a lovely farm stay, great views from the hot tub! Loved being able to watch the cows and sheep. Claire was lovely and was ready to help at any moment despite us arriving so late at night! Highly recommend and will definitely be coming back!

In a word - wow! Lovely cottage, well equipped with modern tasteful decor and an excellent kitchen which is well presented with good quality equipment. The hot was amazing and the area is stunning. We had great weather and enjoyed sitting out on an evening next to the stream. The little details such as doggy provisions and the welcome bottle of fizz were appreciated. We will be back!!

We had such a wonderful stay, a very beautiful house in a picturesque setting. The hot tub and sauna were a real treat and worth booking! Mark and Ruth were such lovely hosts with great communication and lots of thoughtful touches. We would highly recommend the house and location for both couples and families and look forward to staying again.

Perfect stay from start to end. It rained when we stayed but that didn’t matter as we spent time in the hot tub under the shelter and the barn was really cosy. Very clean and felt like home. I can’t wait to come back :)

I can fully appreciate why they have clients who return, such a stunning property. Must admit it is one of the most cleanest accommodations I’ve stayed in. Views were simply breathtaking and the photos listed for the property don’t do it justice. The toiletry basket with those all important essential items should you have forgotten anything was a great touch! Thanks for a lovely stay!

We have had a fantastic stay at Sue’s place. The cottage was so homely and spacious. Great Asby itself is such a quiet and peaceful location and is perfectly situated to get out to the lakes, via car, or the dales for a good walk. The local pub was superb for food and drinks and all locals were super friendly. Sue and Fitz were such friendly and attentive hosts who also left some lovely and much appreciated treats in the cottage for us to enjoy on our arrival. We would love to come back. Thanks again for a brilliant stay. 😊🤩

The property exceeded our expectations. It was lovely and clean - four double bedrooms - a rare find. Becca - our host - responded immediately to any little queries we had. The area is quiet, but within easy walking distance of the local village pub. It was ten minutes in a car to Penrith with supermarkets, shops etc. We would definitely visit again.

David and I have stayed in many Airbnbs but Victoria’s place is definitely among the best. Instructions were detailed and we were greeted by Fiona on our arrival. The cottage was exactly as described. Cosy and comfortable and very well maintained and fully equipped for meal preparation. There was a nice welcome startup package of essentials plus some delicious chocolates. We had a great stay and would love to return to explore some of the many hiking paths in the area. Totally recommend this cottage.

We had a lovely stay at Maple Cottage. We wanted peace and quiet and to be able to walk from the door and that is exactly what we got here. There are footpaths stretching either way down the valley. The only sounds were birds and lambs calling to their mothers. We were welcomed by our host but then left to enjoy our break. Everything at Maple Cottage met our expecations. Lots of hot water for showers after long walks. Comfy beds and a well equiped kitchen. The living space was light and airy and ideal for relaxing in after days spent outside. We even found a historical fiction book to read set in the local area on the bookshelf! We would love to return.

We had three lovely nights at Grove Cottage. Kay was very helpful and sent us very informative messages before arriving which was excellent. We found the cottage to be very clean and tidy and comfortable for us and our two children. We followed one of the guide leaflets for a fab walk after visiting the May bank holiday village fair. We bought some cheeses from the village and visited one welcoming pub after our walk. We also loved the antique shop in the old Swan pub - very friendly man in there! Alston is a great base for exploring, we drove to Cragside which was stunning. Would certainly book a return stay. Thanks Kay

Flitch Cottage is clean quiet and comfy. If you want to go trekking in the Lake District and want a warm, clean, and welcome place to rest those tired bones. This is the spot. The local pub does good food and beer. Keswick is just down the road if you want a bit more than pub food. For us three guys it was perfect.

Lovely cottage at a lovely house. Emma and Craig were super friendly. Kendal had quite a lot to offer and the house is walking distance to pubs, restaurants and supermarket.

Absolutely fantastic place to call home temporarily. Lovely quiet location but close enough to Lake Windermere to reach on foot. Very comfortable and super stylish, the unique bathroom is a real plus. Emma and Gregory had really thought about everything I could need and I can't wait to revisit.

The cottage was exactly what was listed and what we were looking for. The Host was always responsive and friendly with many helpful details. The cottage is cosy and in beautiful surroundings with friendly neighbours. It also is well equipped for short or long stays. We will definitely recommend and hopefully come back soon! Thank you

5 stars is not enough to do this place justice. Absolutely stunning location, there is everything you could possibly need, including friendly free roaming chickens! We had a perfect and blissful minimoon and would not hesitate to recommend this place or come back again. We were blessed with amazing weather and the lookout was the perfect place to enjoy the beautiful scenery and gorgeous sunsets. Thanks for having us!

We had a super stay in Helton, we are a family of 5 with 3 teenagers. The cottage was beautiful and very cosy and comfortable, it is really well equipped and we loved having the log burner. Claire and Chris were extremely welcoming and friendly, they went above and beyond and gave us lots of tips about local walks and cycles and the local pubs. We loved Helton and neighbouring Askham. Askham has a lovely pub with good food. The location was peaceful and rural but very accessible to other parts of the Lake District. Would highly recommend and hope to return 😊

Cannot fault The Nook or its hosts! Brynne and John were easy to communicate with and any queries we had, they were quick to answer. The place is exactly as it is in the photos; The Nook had everything you needed in a perfect little space. We were lucky enough to find late availability for the weekend and we were so glad we did! Next time we’ll definitely have to stay longer and explore more of what’s nearby. We had the ideal stay we were in need of 🥰

The perfect hide away, beautiful location. The Old Smithy is beautiful inside and outside, it’s our second time staying here and it’s just as perfect as the first time we booked. Otto was amazing to communicate with, really helpful checking in with us to make sure we were happy. Great local suggestions for food and things to do. Definitely a place we’d book again and again.
