The flat has a nostalgic retro feel, and is more than spacious for four people. It has tons of fun decorations to kill the time. The master bedroom is really big, and is where we spent most of our time.

Had an amazing stay here, the place was clean and felt like home, host and caretaker were responsive and did ease out the check in and check out process.

First of all we want to thank Asher and Lisa for receiving us in such a perfect way and for showing great hospitality. They were always prepared to help us to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Apartment is on ground floor, so very easy to reach even if you have walking disabilities like we had. It is equipped in a very thoughtful way like handle in the toilet, so you can easily get up. All necessary kitchen utilities for cooking are there. Blinkit, Swiggy, Uber and similar services work very well in the location. We were surprised that the hosts even provided a generous supply for us to make our first breakfast in the morning. All together, very easy to feel like you are at home in this apartment. We had one month's wonderful stay in Asher's and Lisa's home. We can strongly recommend it for shorter and longer stays.

I loved my stay and appreciate the wonderful host family very much for their warmth and hospitality. I truly felt at home right away and was totally comfortable for my one week stay. I was visiting Dakshineshwar Kali temple and Belur Math, and the house is perfectly situated between the two. You can walk 20 or so minutes to Vivekananda Bridge and then it’s another 20 minutes walk over the beautiful Ganges to the temple. Belur Math is also a short walk. Rina is a wonderful cook and offers tasty meals right at home at a very reasonable price. She’s really lovely - checking in to make sure everything is going well and asking if there’s anything you need. The house is private - you have it all to yourself - and it’s relatively quiet because it’s off the main road a little bit. Of course there are the usual street noises but it’s not too bad. The rooms are spacious and both Internet and AC work well. Thanks for a really great stay!

The host was responsive and considerate, ensuring our stay was comfortable from start to finish. Impressed by the attention to detail! The host has mentioned small small details to make sure we can easily find the thing at right time and at a right place, and the bed was incredibly comfortable.

I have stayed at the place for couple of days, and I must admit house amenities were beyond expectations. I had full access to entire appartment. One room with double bed, one big hall and 2-3 balconies were available. Moreover entire appartment is very airy, you won't feel confined between walls unlike staying in a hotel rooms. House is bit away from main Street which gives you comfort of peaceful neighborhood. Host is very generous and helpful, allowed me early check-in. Overall I am very satisfied with the stay, would love to consider in future visits.

my wife and I enjoyed our stay at Ruma's place. everything was as described. we loved the location! The metro is a short walk and it was easy to get a taxi. Anything you need is a short walk away. We would definitely stay again.

Very pleasant stay. I found the space to be cheerful and welcoming, with a nice view from the kitchen window and a large terrace. The list of amenities is impressive (I especially appreciated the washing machine). Things aren't brand new, but they work. And lots of smaller household items are included as well. The location is great, right by the Phoolbagan metro station and good restaurants (my favorite was Falam). I found the neighborhood relaxed. It's mostly quiet at night (now and then dogs bark, but it never woke me up). As in many places in the city, mosquitoes can be an issue, so I used a mosquito net (which I'm told will be washed and ready to go), and that worked great. Anand and family were very responsive and helpful, showing me how to use a few things and promptly taking care of anything that came up. All in all, a comfortable space with lots of amenities in a great location.

This is a lovely apartment in Dum Dum, centrally located (near to shopping and business areas), yet safe and quiet at night. The park is not far where buses connect to all of Kolkata. The apartment, on the ground floor, has two good-sized rooms: bedroom with a comfortable bed and plenty of closet and storage space (as well as extra bedding and towels). The living area has enough space for working and other activities. The kitchen is well stocked with appliances, cooking and table-ware, dry foods, teas, spices, etc. There's a washing machine, hot water, and housekeeper regularly available. The hosts Nandita and Rohit are kind, responsible, supportive. They checked in to meet my needs in helpful ways, e.g., by purchasing fruits and vegetables for me (when I couldn't yet find them on my own) and to offer me Indian-style foods to try. They have a beautiful family with two children. They gave me both privacy and hospitality. I enjoyed my interactions with all of them immensely.
