We had our wedding at this location and it was absolutely amazing! All the guests said it was the most beautiful wedding they have ever been to and they weren’t wrong. The location was stunning and Douge was amazingly helpful, kind, accommodating, and responsive. He was there in person to show us around and give us a hand. I can not say enough about how fantastic these hosts are and how beautiful this site is. We easily had 11 people stay on site comfortably, the cabin is stunning, the trailers are lovely and everyone was very happy. Thank you so much Douge and Tracy for the amazing stay and for going above and beyond to help make our wedding day a huge success!

The cabin was everhthing we wanted and needed. We had an absolute fabulous stay. It’s isolated enough that you feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere but it’s still close enough to Courtenay so you’re close to the shops etc. Because of the location, it’s very peaceful. The cabin was cozy; the bed was really comfortable and the wood fire hot tub was such a neat experience! We definetely want to come back, maybe when there is snow because it must be magical.

The place was immaculate and set in beautiful surroundings. We arrived late, but Cody had already lit the fire, such a lovely touch. The beds were super comfy (a good night’s sleep is important to us), and the cabin had everything we needed. The hot tub was spotless, and the parasol was a thoughtful addition for sunny days. The ducks were a real highlight, each with their own little personality. We loved feeding them (hopefully not too much!) and watching them line up by the hot tub waiting for more food. Maggie and Cody were both warm and genuine, you can tell they truly care about your stay. Although it’s near a road, it’s not busy at all and you’d barely know it’s there, it’s so peaceful and quiet. I’m an extremely light sleeper and I slept incredibly well, which says a lot. We’d love to come back next time we’re on the island.

We had a great time at Paul's place, private and peaceful. Watched the stars from the hot tub and sunset from divers rock (quick walk). The snorkeling around divers rock is fantastic at low tide, provided the ocean chill doesn't take you out too fast! The yurt was a really neat experience, well insulated and quiet. Would definitely stay again!

This is a hidden gem and can't say enough positive things about it! The property is stunning and even more beautiful than the photos do credit. Its not far out from Powell River with close access to biking and other activities in the area. The place felt private, was clean, had comfortable beds and pullout, BBQ, and functional little kitchen. There is a big deck overlooking the ocean and great campfire pit. The real highlight of the property is the hot tub with sunset views and easy access down to the beach for a swim. Paul was friendly and super responsive. We absolutely plan to come back soon.

Susan's place on Cortes was so beautiful and fully stocked. it felt like the perfect cabin getaway!

This place is exactly what it looks online. Beautiful view, peaceful surroundings, beside the water and a cosy cottage with everything you need. Cathy was a responsive host and we cannot wait to come back!

Worked well for my family. Unique place, great sunrise view, fairly well stocked kitchen, and close to ski resort. The hot tub was great to come back to after a day of skiing.

A lovely, cozy, comfortable place to stay on Hornby, enjoyed the pastoral, farm setting edged against the forest. Was quiet, peaceful and equipped with everything we needed.

Brian and Shannon are some of the best hosts I've ever met. They have exceptional hospitality, are super cool and are realizing such a stunning vision of their property. Hosting a pizza night was an unexpected treat and got to meet other guests. It is a slice of heaven. From the sauna and cold plunge to the hot tub and fire pit and bbq to the wonderful setting nestled in trees this place exceeded expectations. I biked from Vancouver with the Sunshine Coast connector for one cheat leg. It's not that hard to get to and loved having my bike to explore. Go to Emily's lake for a trail run. Also as a solo female traveller I felt very safe. Recommend and hope to be back.

We enjoyed our 6-day stay at this cottage. It was quiet and peaceful, and very comfortable. It was also well-located for our explorations. The kitchen is well-equipped, including a good assortment of herbs and spices. We also appreciated having plenty of towels. The long-stay neighbours are friendly and helpful, including giving us information about the area. The binder in the cottage was also useful for this. A couple of tips for future guests: - the coffee maker is a Keurig, so bring pods if you want to use it - if you use the coat-hooks on the wall behind the cottage door, remember to check them before you leave - easy to not think of it in the flurry of packing up and leaving :-)

We had a wonderful stay! Very cozy cabin. Our children were thrilled to stay in a cabin they had so much fun and so did we!! Definitely recommend this country stay!!

My wife and I had an amazing time spending our honeymoon here. The float house was super comfy. You can sit on the deck and watch the tide come in slowly. The people on the island are super kind. Be sure to check out the farmers market on Fridays to meet the locals. As well as all the road stands set up.

I had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb! The location was fantastic, making it easy to explore the area. The space itself was cute and cozy, equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The BBQ was a delightful addition, and I loved spending time on the covered porch—it felt so inviting! The bed was incredibly comfy, ensuring a restful night's sleep. Plus, the hosts were friendly and accommodating, making the experience even better. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a charming getaway!

Excellent little cabin tucked away in the forest. Really good location, with 2 stores right acrosss the road, but you wouldn't know it because it's so quiet. The cabin is beautiful, with wood interior and spacious decks. It's a small space, but is designed efficiently. George and Kim are very friendly, with many great tips for island destinations.

such a beautiful cabin ✨ came to Cortes for a funeral and was so nice to be able to do some self care in the sauna and sit with a fire and just have a moment by myself, a deer came and joined me before I went to bed it was such a wonderful 2 nights on Cortes island. Candice even let me bring my kittens to Cortes so they didn't have to stay home all by themselves ❤️ 10/10 the comfiest bed I've ever slept on in my life!

Beautiful cottage for me and my partner. We had everything we needed and a couple of horses to talk to (in their field next to the property). We certainly will be back here next time we vacation in the island. Location was perfect. Qualicum Beach is a lovely lovely place!

This is a place to touch, enter & experience beauty & goodness. I am dreaming of my next trip back here, in any season. For solitude & love alike, Saltwater Farm is a gift of extraordinary virtue.

Neo & Sky's place is a great small oasis in the Forrest, with lots of love for small details and cozy cabins. We had a great stay! The open kitchen concept and showers give it a natural touch, though I guess when it gets colder it could be more inconvenient. hence, perfect place for the summer months!

Simone’s Cosy Cabin was delightful! In a compact space, there was absolutely everything you would need for a comfortable stay. The spacious deck looks out onto a peaceful forest. There is a beautiful rocky beach a short walk down the hill. The quaint harbour is just a little further around the corner where you will find The Boardwalk Restaurant and Nancy’s bakery as well as the Lund hotel and grocery store. One morning we woke to the sound of barking sea lions lounging on the breakwater in the harbour!

Rented the cottage for my husband and our son who were attending a mountain bike event. They really enjoyed the place which was well equiped, clean and comfortable. Paul and Dawn were very responsive and friendly... And the puppy was super cute!

Not only is the Cabin beautiful, clean, private (as the pictures show), but Tanya is an exceptional host. She truly is the best we’ve ever seen. My wife and kid (<2yrs old) had a wonderful, peaceful and exciting time. We loved it here and will be back soon! The property is beautiful. We saw 2 bears and I was able to do some fly fishing. Wow! To top it all off, Tanya and her husband Ty gave us a tour of their Dairy Farm. We saw the cows up close which was really exciting for all of us. We even got to feed the calves a bottle of milk. Absolutely above and beyond what’s expected. Thank you Tanya and family for a great long weekend filled with new memories and experiences that we’ll reflect on for years. Mara’s is a truly exquisite place to stay. Words almost cannot convey how pampered you feel as you experience some of the most beautiful surroundings that nature has to offer. Kim was an amazing host… Proactive, took time to write us so that we would look and listen for the whales, right out in front of the house, asked after our arrival plans and consulted on making sure the ferry would get us there at the time we wanted to arrive. The house is beautifully furnished and is just as it appears in the photos. We felt very cozy and pampered, freed up to enable us to stay in or go out and explore the wildlife.

This is the 3rd year in a row that we have stayed here. It feels like home. The cottage is in the most beautiful location imaginable. Having our meals on the deck overlooking the ocean continued to amaze us day after day. It is be hard to find this combination of beauty, privacy, peace and value in any rental space. This is a rare find!
