Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Outer West Durban

A beautiful and spotlessly clean home with all the comforts to make our stay a magical experience. The undercover patio is weatherproof and was our favorite place to relax and enjoy the sounds of nature and the lush natural foliage. The monkey troop that passed through daily were curious and not a nuisance at all - we loved watching them for the few minutes that they visited us every day. The home is furnished with an array of interesting and personal items that were fascinating and intriguing. And so many wonderful books to suit all tastes! We were blown away by the dog bed and water bowl that awaited our two small dogs - such a lovely touch! Easy access to the garden for our house-trained dogs. Absolutely no security concerns at all. The estate is a wonderland of walking trails, dams, indigenous natural bush and wildlife. We will definitely be back - 8 nights was just too short! Place was exactly as described. A perfect place to rest a mere 10min drive away from Durban central. WiFi was exhausted on day 1 with my 3 children. I like to try new places. But Matt's place is a safe bet so will probably return. High 5 Matt.

Absolutely lovely flat. The linens, made by Camille’s company it turns out, were some of the nicest I’ve ever slept on — and I’ve spent a great deal of time in luxury hotels for work. ( If you’re local check out That’s Linen ). If, like me, you’re booking because it’s walking distance to stuff, be prepared for a workout on the way home. But hey, great views don’t come without steep climbs.

Paul and Lee were quick to respond and a pleasure to deal with, also gave great recommendations to nearby restaurants. The house is so cozy and outdoors beautiful and peaceful, just what we were looking for. Would highly recommend and amazing value for money. Will be back.

We checked in Friday afternoon with my family for the weekend. Instructions were clear and easy to follow. The house is exactly how it looks as advertised, great view to wake up too and a walkable distance to the beach. The entire house is well furnished with fresh bedding and towels for us to use. Really an enjoyable place to stay at. The hosts were so friendly enough to let us check out abit later. I would highly recommend this place for everyone ( families and friends).

The pictures dont do just to the place,the home is more beautiful than the pics.The host was so warm & welcoming she made sure our stay was very comfortable She went the extra mile as to provide extra pot & actually even buying a bigger pot for us All bathrooms had shower gel provided

Felt like we were in the treetops in the jungle! Absolutely stunning setting. We were thrilled to see Knysna Turacos multiple times. It was a very spacious area and it was no problem having multiple other tenants who lived on the property. The kitchen was extremely well outfitted with all you could want. Although it was chilly- we never needed the gas heaters as the space was upstairs and so naturally warmer. Justin was great to chat with and flexible with us hosting friends for a meal. Darrell was very friendly as a host and showed us around. Many thanks!

What an amazing getaway - absolutely stunning views, walking distance from the beach and near amazing restaurants and shops. We had our toddler and our senior dog with us, and both of them enjoyed it thoroughly. Felt like home away from home. Jannes place is was perfect for myself and my 4 legged companion. We both felt right at home immediately and Janne was quite quick with responses with the very minor questions I had. Jannes place is definitely something to book if you are looking for a quiet, beautiful, well kept space. Definitely keeping this listing on a short list for future Durban visits. My family and I had such a delightful time during our short stay at this beautiful and peaceful cottage. Every detail of the space is so thoughtfully done, it truly felt like a home away from home. My son was absolutely thrilled to be there; his excitement was infectious, and he couldn’t stop dancing with joy! Britt is an exceptional host. She is kind, welcoming, and incredibly professional. We feel so fortunate to have had the chance to interact with her and experience her warm hospitality. This stay will hold a special place in our hearts, and we’re already looking forward to returning. Highly recommended!

We absolutely loved this apartment, it’s exactly like the photos. Very clean and warm. Mpume was quick to respond and so helpful as well as the staff they were so friendly and helpful.

Velly was very friendly and accommodating. the housekeeper was literally a phone call away. the apartment is conveniently situated and has everything one needs for a quick getaway. the staircase is very steep though and will not be ideal for someone who has mobility challenges. we had a very comfortable stay and it was excellent value for money.

My family and I absolutely loved staying at Lindsay’s. The place is as pictured; very spacious, clean and great for holiday. The helper was amazing too - so understanding and accommodating throughout our visit. I’d definitely come back!

We absolutely loved our stay! The setting is incredibly peaceful, with breathtaking views of the river and mountains. Whether we were relaxing on the day bed or simply soaking in the natural beauty, every moment felt special. Our children had an amazing time making the fire for the hot tub, chopping wood, and swimming in the river—it was the perfect outdoor adventure for them! The tented camp itself is beautifully designed inside and out, blending comfort with nature effortlessly. This was truly a magical escape, and we can’t wait to come back! Highly recommended.

Jon and Wilna were amazing on my stay. They gave clear communication which was amazing and they were so understanding when I was unintentionally wasting their time. The place is perfect cute with everything one needs and the beach is a block away. Was so peaceful and their dogs are the cutest! Highly recommended especially for the price.
