Older houses that are rural with walking distance to sea and mountains Large porch where you can enjoy the view and the sun throughout the day. Quiet area in a dead end. Lots of wildlife. There's also a goat feather in the neighborhood. It's really a plus if you have kids on vacation. 3km to grocery store. There are several bicycles that can be used freely. We have a fire pit and charcoal grill on the porch. Little artificial light, which makes the space excellent for stargazing and northern lights on fall/winter. A short walk to the mountains and the sea.

Welcome to Farmorhuset in Nykvåg, in the middle of beautiful Vesterålen. This house, which I have inherited from my father, and which he has inherited from his mother, has soul and history. We are proud to have retained the name "Farmorhuset" which many of our guests know and appreciate. The house was built in 1954 and combines nostalgic 50s style with today's amenities for a comfortable stay. We have 3 bedrooms with a total of 5 beds, which makes the house perfect for both small families and groups of friends.

When you leave Myre and drive the last mile on a gravel road that winds out around steep mountains on one side and the wild sea on the other, you realize the place you're going to is out of the ordinary. Bring friends or the whole family to this beautiful and charming place. Here you will find a great swimming beach just below the house. It is 3-400 meters to another beach with playground equipment, volleyball court etc. There are great hiking opportunities on the island to Skaga lighthouse or to the many beaches on the island. It is 15 min. to drive to Stø with Hvalsafari, 15 min. to Myre where you will find a good selection of shops (sports , clothing stores, liquor store, 4 grocery st.etc.).

Low light pollution in the area provides great opportunities for seeing Northern Lights! Barbecue hut and hot tub are free to use. Ideal for families with children, couples and groups of friends.

In this modern residence, you can seek peace and relax in a beautiful landscape. It is located rurally at the end of Eidsfjorden in Vesterålen, about 15 km from the center of Sortland. Suitable as a starting point for trips to Øksnes, Andøya, Hadsel and Lofoten. There are also great hiking/summit ski areas right outside the house. The area is rich in sea eagles and there is a high probability that you will be able to spot one. You can also rent a boat for fishing in the fjord.
