Vacation rentals with a fireplace in North Rhine-Westphalia

This was a wonderful little escape from the Carnival hustle to the countryside. We felt like at home from the first moment. The house is really very tasteful and cozy. The bed was comfortable too. There was nothing missing in the kitchen. With a crackling fireplace, laze and read on the sofa... a dream!

It was a lovely place for a Christmas holiday, surrounded by mountains and with a lake nearby. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.

We had a fantastic stay at Heidi’s place! She met us upon arrival, gave us a tour of the house, and made sure we had everything we needed. She was incredibly friendly and accommodating, which made us feel right at home. The house itself was cozy, comfortable, and spotless, with all the amenities we could ask for. The location was perfect—convenient to everything while still feeling like a relaxing retreat. Beautiful old house in picturesque place with castle just on the Lahn We felt very comfortable at the place. Lovingly restored old farmhouse with a great mix of old and new. Swedish stove in the dining room provided coziness in the evening at the end of October. From the 1st floor you can look directly onto the Lahn. The location to the train station in Runkel is very good, i.e. arriving by public transport is easily feasible. Supermarket, bakery, pharmacy, cafe, gastronomy within walking distance. Beautiful hikes can be made from the house. Kerstin was quick to respond to questions, was very kind and helpful. We want to come back next year because it was so beautiful.

We had a lovely, relaxing week in Uta's cottage. It was Ales what we needed and the atmosphere was welcoming and cozy. So: Beautiful all around. Thanks Uta and see you maybe another time.

Very well equipped holiday home. We didn't miss anything. Good starting point for excursions and hikes. Perfect for big families and groups. We particularly enjoyed the fireplace and the panoramic window.

Quaint half-timbered house in the Bergisches Land, located right on the edge of the forest. Features + quiet and private location + Friendly hosts + pet-friendly accommodation (we were there with our big dog) + atmospheric accommodation + good amenities including Netflix and YouTube on the smart TV + on request, we were even kindly given the opportunity to charge our electric car (type 2 plug) at the in-house wallbox; charging card required, best from Vattenfall We felt very comfortable and would be happy to come back! We had two fairytale days! It is a great experience to enjoy the feel-good atmosphere in this cozy apartment in historic building including tower. In reality, the apartment is much nicer! Just great! Thank you... we will be happy to come back!

We had a quiet few days with snow and warmth in front of the fireplace. The apartment is great insulated and quiet with large living room and cozy couch. Fully equipped kitchen - even with spices. The bed was cozy and everything was really very clean! Everything in the description was the same on the spot. We felt completely comfortable. I'd love to come back :-)

We had a great stay at Anja and Mauricio's beautiful apartment and were glad to have spent our birthday there. We immediately felt at home. The apartment is exactly as described or pictured and the area is very pleasantly quiet. We also particularly liked getting to the apartment through the beautiful courtyard and it felt even more cozy. Since Anja had described everything perfectly, it was also very easy to find and checking in and out was totally uncomplicated. All in all, we have nothing to complain about, only the kitchen knives should be sharpened ;)

We had traveled with 11 people over New Year's Eve. Communication with the host in advance and during was very friendly and pleasant. Everything in the nearby village is super easy to reach on foot, such as bakers, restaurants, etc. The house is very impressive with its quiet location and extensive amenities. Be it a well equipped kitchen, sauna, enough extra rooms for retreats, a nice fireplace or the separate adjoining bathrooms to each bedroom. For us, it was a perfect location and left nothing to be desired. We felt comfortable all around and will certainly return there again. :)

Beautiful house and super furnished, kitchen has everything for cooking, enough blankets and pillows, games, books. Were 16 people and despite bad weather and a lot of time in the house there was enough room for everyone :) Fast very nice communication with Lilia!

The place is super quiet. The host gave us a short tour, very pleasant. We had a relaxing weekend with friends and can fully recommend the place.

Great apartment in perfect location. We were on site with two dogs. You could go for a great walk, right outside the front door. The apartment itself was bigger than in the photos. Plenty of space for four and two dogs. The landlady was very nice - she did not disturb our dog bark either. The neighbourhood was also nice. If you like to pet cows, roosters crow and do pigeons are just as right here as people who want to explore the area around the Teutoburg Forest. 110% recommended.

Very nice house, well equipped, quietly located in the forest. Sauna, foosball table and other amenities. Only: living room and dining room are on different levels, which was a little inconvenient with crawling babies, but all in all did not bother us further

We really enjoyed our stay at Alexandra and Pit's beautiful home. The house is stylishly furnished and has all the comforts. The beds are lovely and linen and towels are of excellent quality. The kitchen is the heart of the house and we have served for hours with a view of a cozy crackling fireplace. The view of the hills and woods is beautiful and soothing. It really is a place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and to relax. Alexandra and Pit are the perfect hostess and hostess. They are very friendly, happy to help you if you need anything and at the same time respect your privacy. In short: we warmly recommend this stay. If you want to pamper yourself with a luxury stay in a beautiful area, this is the house you have to book!
