Grandpa's Cottage

Grandpas Cottage is a pretty unique oasis. The house was originally build by our great grandmother and uncle in 1968 as an upgrade from the semi turf house they previously lived in on the estate. Grandpa and his brothers acquired the house after her passing in the early 1980's. By that time they had all moved to the city and shared the house as a summerhouse and a get away back to their roots. The house is by no mean luxurious or elegant. But it has a lot of soul and a beautiful peaceful wipe.

Rest a body and soul by sea

Get close to nature and history at the very small village, Borðeyri. Tangahus guesthouse is few meters from the sea. Looking out of the windows you may feel like being on board a boat. The view from windows heading towards north is fantastic, especially at sunset in the summer time. During winter time our guests often see beautiful northern lights. Guests love to take walk to the beach and listen to the mysterious sound of the sea and seabirds. If you are lucky you can also see seals!

It's a small house, about 55m2 and has three floors with two rooms on the ground floor; Bathroom and Kitchen, the entrance at the first floor, and a cozy Bedroom/Living room on the second floor. Only 1 minute walk to the Supermarket, the Tourist Information Center, Icelandic Seal Center and the restaurant in the town; Sjávarborg. Wonderful cottage located on a farm in west Iceland. Icelandic horses on the farm and sheep in the autumn. The place is surrounded by the Viking Saga, history of elves and hidden people. Nearby are two famous Cathedral of the elves, Tungustapi and Ásgarðsstapi. There is only 5 minutes drive to the geothermar pool Guðrúnarlaug where you can bathe. This is where Guðrún Ósvífursdóttir lived a thousand years ago, the most noteworthy character in Laxdæla Saga. 160 km from Reykjavík

Hvammur 2 Bjarg Cottage with a private hot tub

Bjarg is a summerhouse in Bjarnarfjordur, 25 km from Hólmavík. Excellent location for travelling to North/South Strandir or Westfjords. The house stands by the river that runs down the valley. It is a quiet place an excellent place to see the northern lights. Swimming pool and geothermal hot tubs are located in Laugarhóll about 1 km from the house. Outside the house is a fire place, surrounded with trees. Good for quiet evening under the sky and aurora borealis.

The kitchen and living-room are in the same space where you have two beds, a sleeping sofa and a wonderful view of the sunset or the northern lights - if you're lucky. And then there is a nice private bathroom. Steinnes is a farm located in picturesque Icelandic scenery with a beautiful view of mountains and the river running by. The best view in town! Peaceful place directly located at the waterfront. We provide a nice and cosy flat on the lower floor in a two-story house with a garden and ocean view from bedroom, kitchen and living room. Centrally located in Hvammstangi town with everything in walking-distance: supermarket, restaurant, seal center, swimming pool, KIDKA knitting factory, pharmacy & more. Seals & whales can be watched occasionally from our backyard - no guarantee:)

Bungalow in a quiet environment

Environment Newly furnished bungalow in a quiet setting. The street of the house is called Lindarvegur and is located in the top district of Hvammstangi, n.t. on top of the hill where you drive up to Church. So it offers a great view of the village and onto the fjord. It's a very short walk to a beautiful outdoor area in Kirkjvammammi and many exciting hiking trails, such as a footpath that runs along the river, located just south of the house.

Eyri seaside houses north, with great sea view.

Eyri seaside houses is a cozy, warm and brand new guesthouse with a great ocean view, located on our small horse farm. We are located at Hvammstangi but still super private and the only thing you see from the apartments are the ocean and landscape. There are a lot of birds at the beach and there is even a chance that you will see some seals. Every now and then we get some whales in the fjord but it has to be your lucky day to see them.

Spectacular view over Steingrímsfjord and the island Grímsey. Lovely cottage close to Drangsnes. The cottage has two bedrooms, both have a double bed and a bunk bed over the bed. Six persons can stay in the cottage. Bathroom with a shower and washing machine. The kitchen is well equipped with stove, microwave, fridge/freezer and cutlery and tableware. The untouched nature and birdlife is amazing in this area.

An old cozy house with a view over the see

HG-00006565. A big garden is with the house and a small sun deck. During the summertime a gas grill will be placed on the summer deck which you can use. it‘s just about 5 minutes walk to a swimming pool and just about 2 minutes walk to the grocery store and liquor store. In the same neighborhood is e.g. the Icelandic Seal Center and the wonderful restaurant Sjávarborg.
