We arrived in Kyoto without planning activities and the host recommended that we go to an event that was held during our visit. Nice touch!

The experience at Taketo's house was wonderful! The directions to get there provided by the host were clear and effective. The house is very large for the standards I have experienced here in Japan; in addition to the living room, there are two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The style and furnishings are superb, and Taketo provides everything someone might need to feel welcomed. And here I truly felt at home. Easy travel to the center of Kyoto, and the restaurants proposed by Taketo always lived up to expectations. Nothing left to chance and nothing left unkempt; a great experience! Taketo is always available, friendly and kind. If I return to Kyoto, I will look for this house again.

I don’t leave many reviews because most places are average but this was by far the best Airbnb my family has ever stayed at. Noriko and her son met us in person, showed us all around the apartment and how things worked and were very responsive throughout our stay. Noriko must be a professional interior designer. Everything about her apartment was perfect and quintessential Japanese design and style. There’s lots of space and can easily accommodate 6 (we only had 4). Noriko even gave us a welcome gift and a nice Japanese print we intend to frame at home If I was ever to move to Kyoto and wanted to buy and apartment I’d buy this one!

Great place to stay. May’s instructions on finding the apartment were perfect (she even sent the address to us in Japanese to show the taxi driver). She met us & showed us how everything worked but also left clear written instructions. The flat was really well equipped and had lovely comfortable beds, plenty of hanging space and a great shower! The location is ideal, easy to walk around the area and less than 10 minutes walk to the subway.

We stayed here for 6 days. One of the best Airbnb experiences we’ve had on our world tour. 12 minute walk to train station. Bath tub was amazing. Huge shower area. Lots of space in living area. Very comfortable beds. Great location. Only nick is the very small kitchen. One stove top with no counter space. But we made it work. Side notes: 1. Do bring an HDMI cable if you plan on connecting your laptop to the tv projector (I use my laptop to stream everything) on the ceiling. 2. Bring tape or something that you can wrap around the exit sign, which is above the door inside the apartment, and which illuminates the whole room at night. No idea why they would put an exit sign inside an apartment.

the house is such a beautiful and comfortable place to stay in. And I love the neighborhood very much because it is peaceful and quiet, even though it's not in the city. Short walking distance to the Nishioji station is a plus. Mdm Lee who is the person in charge is such a helpful lady and she's friendly too! highly recommend this place for a comfort stay.

Very comfortable stay. Very large space with simple decor. Lots of AC, much appreciated. The massage chair is fun. Location is excellent, short walk to Gion district and restaurants.

Super clean and as described. Enjoyed our stay. It was a little out of the way so we did use a lot of Ubers - but this was very easy. If only two people - be sure to request both bed rooms be set up. Only one room was set up and no bedding for the other room. They had us pull bedding off one of the beds and use and set up the bed in the other room. No extra linens - but maybe my fault for not letting them know we would sleep in separate rooms. Also only 2 towels for two people for the entire 4 nights. When I asked about this I was told that's all the towels and that guest wash them each day. Overall a great place to stay we loved all the space.

Great host and an authentic Japanese experience. A peaceful place offering a full Japanese atmosphere. Nice neighborhood with a private parking lot. The host was friendly and communicative — we had a great time!

The guesthouse is located fairly far in by foot, but it's well worth the walk. The neighbourhood is peaceful, and will give you a pretty decent idea of local suburban life.

The Nozemi house was a really great experience! The hosts were very kind, easy going, and were responsive. The apartment itself was bigger than expected, and the walk to the JR line / Aeon Mall was shorter than expected (~12 minutes). The only recommendation would be to provide clear instructions for the washer / dryer use, and rice cooker use. Thank you!

A modern studio

This is an extraordinary place. The location is in the heart of the buzzing Gion district, and everything easily walkable. They hosts were helpful & flexible with us leaving bags before and after. The space is unbelievable and rare. It's very spacious, which was a relief after being crammed in prior hotels. Basically it is a giant and very cool room, with attached bathroom and laundry wing. Bedding comfy. The place feels funky. It has absolutely everything you could need. It is not a shared space with anyone else, it's all yours and private. We travelled with 2 toddlers and the space was perfect. Huge room to run and climb, with plastic kitchenware, toys and books. As the host mentions, it is across the hall from a rooftop bar that can be a little noisy, but also distant bars and the district is noisy and busy in general, it was okay. It was neat and fine but could use a deep clean (it would be a hard space to keep perfect), but overall wonderful. 10/10.

Great room with enough space to open suitcases! Walkable from Kyoto Station and great quiet neighborhood. Also great amenities like slippers, hairbrush, toothbrush etc. Host responded quickly as well!

Great value for money. Easy check-in, walk to Yamashina Station and then go to various places. The cherry blossom tree at the door is super beautiful.
