I recently had the pleasure of staying at Thevalakshumie's Place in Batticaloa, and it was a delightful experience. The location is perfect, right in the heart of the city, making it easy to find and conveniently accessible to all the major attractions. The amenities provided were essential and met all my needs. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the cozy atmosphere made me feel right at home. The host was helpful, providing clear instructions and prompt communication. My only regret is not being able to stay longer. I would love to come back in the future and highly recommend Thevalakshumie's Place to others visiting Batticaloa.

Sumanasiri is an excellent host. He's very welcoming, friendly and helpful. He arranged a guide for a bicycle tour of the ancient city, cooked our breakfast and dinner and drove us to Kandy at the end of our stay. Our room was clean and comfortable and well located; walking distance to the lake and a short cycle ride to the ancient city.

Himaz ist der beste Gastgeber, den man sich vorstellen kann, er ist sehr flexibel, freundlich und herzlich, dabei zu 0 % aufdringlich. Er hat uns viele Fragen ĂŒber Sri Lanka und die Umgebung beantwortet, uns auf Wunsch zu einem Local Market begleitet und uns im Anschluss einen Curry-Kochkurs mit seiner Tante vermittelt. Jeden Morgen reinigt er den Strand vor dem Haus und stellt Holzliegen mit weichen Auflagen unter die beiden Palmen am Strand. Herrlich ist es auch, in dem schattigen Garten zu sitzen, der zum Haus gehört. Das FrĂŒhstĂŒck war köstlich. Das Zimmer hat einen hohen Standard und ist mit allem ausgestattet, was wir brauchten, um eine hervorragende Zeit zu haben. Auf Wunsch wurde uns ein Wasserkocher gegeben, neben dem Bett sind Nachttischlampen, es gab viele Ablagemöglichkeiten, einen Kleiderschrank, ein tolles Bad. Der Balkon bietet einen traumhaften Blick in den Garten und das Meer. FĂŒr den Weg zum Flughafen hat H. uns einen sehr guten Fahrer vermittelt. 100%ige Empfehlung

This house is located close to Pollonaruwa and is a good alternative to the hotels nearby. Comfortable bed and excellent AC, very good dinner and breakfast. I would highly recommend this place.

I shared the apartment with a friend. Only one bedroom has AC but the bed was big enough to share. There are two bathrooms. The kitchen worked perfectly. Also the washing machine worked fine. You have to bring your own towels and kitchen cloth. In the backyard there is a big mango tree and king coconut tree we could pick fruits from. Tarshan always replied very fast to my questions and was very helpful. Also Tarshan‘s brother Kamal, who lives close to the house, came nearly everyday to check in with us if we need anything. He‘d also would have organised us bikes or cycles for rent but then we chose to go by three wheeler. He found a driver who drove us for a fair price daily. The apartment is close to the railway station. So the mentioned address is wrong. There are lots of little grocery shops and food shops in walking distance. All in all we were very happy to spend 4 weeks in this apartment! We felt like home quickly. Thank you, Tarshan and Kamal, for being so helpful & friendly
